I don't think that's true. Ferguson gives Park his chances, even when his form this season hasn't been great. And there are other options such as Obertan. Alex believes in him.

 

lol... the last 2 match PJS play very well...... especially the last match with Spurs, now Nani on very good form, i think Valencia have be the one the be worry about it...
Back to topic, what a entertainment match last night between Mainz and Borussia Dortmund, Kagawa almost score a goal but too bad the ball hit the post, just few inchi i think....

What I don't understand is why its an one year extension. Why not 3 or 4 if Catania are expecting something from Morimoto. I don't get what Catania are trying to get out of this extra year and I'll never know why Morimoto and his agent agreed to it.

A spanish sports magazine have listed what they mean are the 100 best talents in the world. As expected, Kagawa is present, but there are no other Japanese players there. Cerezo's / Oita's Kim Bo Kyung is on the list though.

 

yeah those lists are bollocks. A few years ago (may be a different magazine) the top 100 younguns list had Kakitani, Uchida & Kagawa I think.

 

Well, they got 2 out of 3 rights of the Japanese! Both Uchida and Kagawa are regular starters for 2 of the best clubs in Germany.

But I think its only natural that Japanese / Asian players in general are not very well represented on these kind of lists, as most of them are made by European magazines/experts, and therefore of course it will be very Euro-centric. The scouting network and knowledge is for obvious reasons much better on South America and Africa than it is for Asia as well, and very few Asians compared to players from other continents move to Europe at a young age.

But out of curiousity, which Japanese / Asian players do u think should be on this list?

 

Well if Kagawa made it and he's 21. For young players you could make an argument for Takashi Usami, Mu Kanazaki and Yuji Ono (he looks like he sort of modelled around how Yamase plays which is awesome) although the latter isn't well known enough. Naoki Yamada would be a candidate if he weren't injured. Haraguchi I don't think will make it as huge as we all hope (just a gut feeling).

Korean Ki Sung Yueng of Celtic is same age as Kagawa. I'm sure the Koreans would have a few more names to spit out. Ahmed Khalil of UAE showed great potential in youth tournaments and is in the UAE NT at 19 I think he won the AFC Youth player of the year or something. Bulut of Australia (U19 AFC top scorer) has the build and speed and skill to make it big.

At the U21 level the confederations are a lot closer because the quality of the domestic competitions of different leagues haven't had as much influence on the quality of these players yet. So a top 100 list would objectively have at least 15 asian players I think.

I only say these lists are rubbish because it is damn near impossible to make a list of the 100 best U21's in the world that is objectively correct or even close unless they had a massive panel of experts of each confederation to collaborate the list.
I follow asian football a bit and I doubt I could come up with an accurate list of the best 25 asian youth players.

A few years ago they would've just seen Uchida & Kagawa making debuts for Japan and all the hype around Kakitani after the U17 FWC and so on.

 

I'd still not forget Takagi brothers.

And there are plenty of talented Aussies, who are technically Asians, too. Mathew Leckie, Ben Kantarovski – I really wonder why none of J. League clubs bother to take a look at those guys.

 

It's been a month since Uchida started to be solid. I must say now that he's performing quite well in a regular basis. Again tonight he's one of the best his team, playing full of confidence, trying hard passes with success. One of his crosses should have brought a goal if Huntelaar was more clever.

Double dragons(Lee Chungyong and Ki Chungyong) are both same age not on this list and right now all eyes are on Son who was top scorer for Hamburg's preseason with 9 goals in 9 games including a cracker against Chelsea before breaking something in his foot and he just scored in his second game back and he's 18.

Kim Bokyoung was hands down best player on pitch in the Korea v Japan domestic player matches this year. I have no idea how these guys spotted him for this list with Kim wasting away in J2.

 

"Attention whore" list. Look at my knowledge, I'm putting dozens of players I've never seen playing.
If I had to quote Korean players, I would put Son, LCY, KBK and Koo Jae-chol. I've never been impressed by Ki Sung-yung.
