Perfect cross but I wonder if they will count this as an assist since Barrios touched the ball first.

And another perfect good cross, wasted by Barrios this time ...

His quality vision of the field is showing big time this half. While dribbling, his head is on the swivel, looking for the best option.

Looked quite sluggish at the beginning, but is connecting quite well now.

He's doing well at finding players in space.

Honestly, I believe you should learn to differentiate between various writers at goal.com. You have hundreds of them, some are not very prepared, but some others are doing a great job (NOT talking about myself, just in general). :)

Setting aside Maicon, Serie A is without a doubt desperately short of quality fullbacks at the moment (Milan's are bad, Juve's are worse, Inter's are utility players, Napoli doesn't use any at all, etc, etc), but there is no way I would pick Nagatomo over, say, Balzaretti for fullback performance so far.

Also, I am the biggest Cassano fan you'll find, but he has been very uneven to put it generously, and I've watched all but I think two of their matches this year.

But overall, that was one of the more accurate top 10 lists I've seen on goal.com.

Abe was subbed in during the 70th minute.

    Uchida played a full 90.

    Hasebe subbed out after 79.

Kawashima still injured? Not playing and not on the bench.

Matsui didn't get off the bench.

I was checking the lineups/results of Goal.com for this game, and Uchida got the worst rating of the match. (4).

I think that might be the "fan rating". There's some trolls on goal.com, Kagawa got a 4 rating yesterday.

Or maybe he actually did do bad. I don't know I didn't watch the match.

    Fans ratings are meaningless.

lets wait for kicker.de rates ... what i read on German board(s), most of them are not satisfied with his performances and say already he is not suited for top club of Bundesliga ... others still wanna give him some time

i expected difficult time for Uchida at Schalke, almost whole team was rebuild, the defensive line is completely new, and now they had a real bad start into the season, defensive line was changed already many times due to various reasons ... the fans looking forward to see Hoogland coming back and see Uchida loosing the spot as starting member

edit: i havent watched the match, so cannot say anything, but all said he didnt play very well

Uchida has a great weakness in his decision making in the attacking third with the ball. His defensive weaknesses tend to get covered up a bit by Hasebe as CM on his side for the JNT.

I've seen him in the last couple of games, both in Schalke and the NT. And Uchida is either in bad form or he is not that good? I think Nagatomo is much better to be honest.

Nagatomo is better without a doubt. Uchida is good and has potential to be a bit better, but he hasn't realized truly I don't think that he is an experienced player and experienced NT member therefore should act and play like one. Still has that "exciting youngster" attitude about him and at his age he's gotta start maturing a bit cause that attitude he's got now won't cut it at schalke. And won't cut it with the NT either as shown with Okada. He backed Uchida for years but at the end of the day Komano was a more mature player as a defender so he started in SA.

Uchida was bought to replace Rafinha so he really needs to pull his finger out before Felix Magath goes and buys another RB.

Agree. Maybe he needs to be a little bit tougher?

Can't really believe Abe sits on the bench in Leicester.

I was never TOO impressed by Uchida.
IMO he is the Japanese Beckham, meaning a good player, but overestimated because of his look.

I am really fond of the two Albirex boys, Nishi and Sakai.
Ugajin too has a lot of potential.

My favorite SB after Nagatomo, however, would still be Michi Yasuda, who seems back to his 2007-2008 standard.
