    Great win for the Terps

    Virginia 2, Liberty 1
A win is a win but UVa needs to dominate these kind of games.

    NC State 3, Gardner-Webb 2
Pack rally from two down in final half hour

Longwood gets first win of the season. Really, Hokies? Losing to a previously winless Longwood team?

No disrespect against Virginia but Liberty lost the game on a questionable handball call in the box in the second half leading to a penalty kick. Liberty actually carried play at times in the second half and should have had a result. This is very good team and with a few breaks could really have a nice season. High Point is also a good team and Coastal Carolina can be other quality teams. It is easy to assume that the ACC dominates but there are other up and coming programs that often get overlooked and will continue to surprise the top programs as college soccer achieves greater parity.

    UNC 1 Wake 0.

Wake had a great chance near the end. Scott made a great diving save. Heels midfield outclass Wake in this game. Farfan goal was a very nice goal. He did some fancy dribbling and then scooped a shot that was well placed. Enzo had a good match. If Heels wanna win it all. They need to find that one striker. I think it can be Enzo. Dixion was out again tonight. Def need him back. Heels midfield is the best by far in the ACC. They're very good.

touches in tight spaces won this game tonight...and UNC is better and more composed technically in close quarters then the young wake team. Farfan's goal was...well...a thing of sheer technical beauty...he tied the young wake defender in knots.

That being said...Wake had their opportunities to tie or win this game...it just wasn't to be.

No Will Swaim in this one, so I guess they're planning to bring him back next fall as a redshirt senior. Also no Marquez Fernandez. He was made out to be a promising recruit but must be taking a redshirt, too (maybe he's hurt?).

I'm not ready to concede UNC's as the best midfield in the ACC (over Maryland). If the two teams meet again (expected) and UNC takes out Md then i'll throw the roses. But right now Md is now destroying people and as usual for a Sasho squad approaching November, the terps are starting to play like the Brazillians.

In a rare Monday night game, Tech beat poor Alabama A&M 4-2. Saturday A&M got abused by UVa 10-0.

Or they'll need to be .500 which seems to be the bigger challenge for them this season.

Yeah, they're one game below .500 right now, and here's their remaining schedule with some predictions.

    H - NC State WIN
    A - Maryland LOSS
    A - Elon WIN
    H - Boston College ???
    A - Davidson WIN
    A - Duke LOSS
    ACC tournament ???

    Predicted record: 8-8-1 plus ???'s

I don't think they're good enough to win at Duke or Maryland, and that doesn't leave much room for error. Elon and Davidson aren't pushovers, and their first round ACC game will almost certainly be tough.

Elon has beat Clemson and ODU, tied Duke and WVU, I wouldn't be counting on a win there

I'm a bit surprised on Wake's struggles consider JV usually brings in a top 3 ACC class every year. I know they've had some defections the last 2 years. Maybe injuries are doing them in this year?!

They've also had a lot of turnover in their coaching staff the past couple of years.

BC-UNC 1-1 tie. I don't think rain favors UNC possession style soccer. You have to play regardless of the field conditions. Could of used Mccarthy tonight. All in All not a bad result if they can take care of the worse two teams in the ACC. Can't slip up because UM is right there.

VT 1 vs UVA 2 in OT 92nd min....UVA pulls it out and avoids the upset

IMHO, I think the BC-UNC game was a very poorly officiated game and UNC was given a phantom free kick with seven seconds left in OT that nearly gave them the game.

Anyways, BC needs to find some offense or they will be on the sidelines watching the big boys for the rest of the year.
