And Montero is probably responsible for as many of those "fouls" as our three combined.

Not surprising that our 3 are on the list, they all dribble at players pretty successfully, and like to keep the ball at their feet. Davy's especially great at taking a first touch where his only intention is to shield the ball and force a foul.

Goal.com preview. Interesting comment in the intangibles section:
Anybody know what signs they are referring to? I would think that OnGoal would hold off until after the DUI court date is past before making any decisions on PV's future.

Another note....we should know by the time our game kicks off what the result of the FCD-Colorado game is. Hopefully if FCD wins, that gives us a little extra pep in our step to get the win and put more pressure on the cRapids.

wish more of our players would do it, Teal could have sent 2 players to the shower last game instead of staying on his feet to kick the ball directly to Condual :D

    Wiz +110
    Sounders +225
    Draw +225

But Davy is inventing the fouls .... its not quite the same as battling to stay on your feet or choosing to take the easier option of going down when your headed that way already.

    I can't get behind the diving :)

agreed, his dives are futile, he goes down when he takes to big of a touch and is about to lose the ball. just looks like he fell down or lost his balance as opposed to being fouled, he just falls over

Smith has stopped diving, he now just stops and looks at the ref when he is getting tugged on. He seems to get more calls using this tactic. Not saying he doesnt get hacked on those other fouls though, its rare that he isnt grabbed or tripped whenever he touches the ball. I would just call the MLS a hack league, but apparently DeJong has only gotten 1 red card his entire career, and it was 2 yellows, so hack leagues might be par for course.

This might have been discussed already but why in the world are we losing Shavar to a friendly while we are in the playoff hunt. Don't we have the right to say you cant leave right now to play a game that doesn't mean anything?

Not during FIFA dates we can't.

So there is no difference between a FIFA qualifying match and a friendly? That seems a little unreasonable. I mean what if England had a friendly against Trinidad puring the UEFA Championship. All of those players would be called to national team duty?

I think you misunderstand. There's a set list of FIFA dates, Oct 8-12 being among them. Outside of these dates, like your England v Trinidad example, I don't believe you're obligated to release players.

    http://www.fifa.com/aboutfifa/calendar/events.html

Many(most?) other leagues suspend play during these dates which is why there are no Bundesliga or Premier League games this weekend.

    You misunderstood, see glenthas' post.

Still one of my biggest issues with MLS.

Seems the Seattle fans expect the cup to be theirs. If they don't get it, are they going to take "their" sport and go home?

Okay, so apparently the developers at EA don't think to highly of the Sounders (join the club), I just played KC vs Seattle and KC ran away with it 5-0 (Rocastle, Kamara, Diop with a Hat). So, I probably just jinxed us....

Adding to the general congestion today, don't forget that KDOT is still working on 435 between I-35 and 87th Street on the weekends.

So if that's your usual route, think about an alternate, or perhaps a helicopter.

What's your gamertag? Are you on XBox? If so, and you want a game I'll be happy to play you online. Something pass the time until our real teams clash later on.

Speaking to the two people who play FIFA, how the hell do you get a 4-3-3 to work? It's so standard! It just doesn't work well.

Alright, so what kind of post-season changes are we going to be making this year?
