Im pretty upset too...More so that Checa, Caicedo, Mina, and Minda are called up. WTF is Montero not in the list!!! Hurtado and Morante should have gotten the call up. Ill try to keep an open mind tho and convince myslf that Rueda is in the process of trying out new players.

see but those aren't "new players". The "new players" are the ones he didn't call up...Morante, Montero, Jefferson Hurtado, Marlon De Jesus, etc. I guess in Rueda's mind, Montero's automatically in the NT so there's no need for him to see anymore, Rueda's convinced. But I'm confused as to why Morante, J.Hurtado, and Marlon De Jesus didn't make the list? If anything those are 3 of the most promising guys of the campeonato we have. Their young players with potential and that's exactly what we need to test out.

Anyway, AGAIN we'll have to work with what we have.

    my line up:

Banguera; Reasco, Campos, Guagua, W.Ayovi; Paredes (Guerron), Noboa, Quiroz, Arroyo; Benitez, J. Ayovi

Sounds about right, with on exception, I'll start Guerron over Paredes.

Montero is not going because of a problem with his Visa

Reminds me of the time that Mendez "lost his passport" two days before the friendly with El Salvador (link), and the time that Valencia had "loose pages" on his passport and couldn't fly to New York for the friendly against Colombia (link).

Funny that no one ever has passport/visa issues for eliminatorias games, right?

But Montero's excuse is so elaborate that it's slightly more believable (link).

M Elizaga has a back injury and will not play for the National Team, at least these two coming up.

This is how Ecuador lined up for a practice in New Jersey, yesterday: M. Banguera; N. Reasco, J. Guagua, I. Mina, O. Baguí; J. Paredes, O. Minda, D. Quiroz, L. Saritama; J. Ayoví, C. Suarez.

if we put play that lineup against Colombia and poland we're getting hammered!! thankfully there is nothing to worry about, the players who play outside of Ecuador weren't part of the scrimmage and are gonna join the team in New York. Here's the lineup I would play, granted no injuries arise:

Banguera, Reasco, Campos, Gagua, W. Ayovi, Guerron, Quiroz, Noboa, Arroyo, Benitez, J. Ayovi

I kinda wanna see Bone play, but in all likelihood Banuera will start, he performed okay in the last two games so we'll play. As subs I wanna see Paredes, Saritama, Suarez, Rojas

Me gustaria ir a este partido pero desafortunadamente no encontrado tiempo para ver al Ecua jugar, Creo que hay mucho chance de ganar con Chucho Benitez al frente

Cristian Suarez is starting...prepare to be upset b/c if he plays like he does in El Nacional people here are going to want to pull their hair out. Everything else in the line up sounds great, we're working with what we got.

Rueda is making a big mistake if he puts Suarez in...against Colombias strong and tall backline, Ayovi should start ahead of him. Benitez is small but because of his speed he can create havoc, Suaraz not only frustrates the hell out of everyone with the mamadas he pulls, but he too is small and with both of them at forward he will not win anything thing in the aerial game. He should be a sub on the bench at best.
