Longshot but really struggling trying to login to a bnei yehuda forum - I've no Hebrew and google translator seems to log me out. Anyway I'm an avid programme collector and hoping soembody who is reading this is going to the Bnei Yehuda v Shamrock Rovers game tonight and could pick up a programme for me. Happy to pay all costs or swop one from the game in Dublin.
They actually do for some games as I have some European programmes. Bnei did issue for the last round v Ulisses. Maybe they don't issue for league games but seem to issue for european ties. Fantastic win for Rovers toinight too.
Only seeing this now. I was at the game in Bloomfield Stadium (what a night!) and there was definitely no programmes. Shame because Rovers fans would have bought all of them. KOH
I'm afraid there actually was a programme. 4 page spot colour issue. Probably not on sale in the away end which is a common problem on the continent. Fantastic win for Rovers. No programme produced in Modena afaik.
Do you have one? If so can you scan it up here? I'm surprised because I didnt see any in the stadium amongst the home fans as they were not too far from us. Italians have never produced programmes. KOH
Thanks for the pic. Will have to chase that up now. Been to a fair few Serie A games over the years and never saw any programmes. Maybe for CL games. KOH
No not sure it is official. It was definitely available on the night though. Mine came from a collector in Israel who was at the game. I know of only one Irish collector who got one brought back by somebody in Rovers (not sure if it was a fan or official). Sounds the same but haven't seen his. However I wouldn't think there is much of a market for a pirate programme. Mine was a swop for a programme and ticket from game in Tallaght so no scam going on anyway. Have you reason to doubt if it is authentic?
Considering that the first I've heard of any programme was here and not one Rovers fan there heard or saw any programme for sale you could say it is suspicious! There was a pirate programme for sale on ebay for a pre season game we pulled out of against Dynamo Kiev in Portugal! What does it say inside the programme? KOH
Dynamo Kiev was done by guys in Belarus or Ukraine notorious for pirates and reprints. It is a scam. Armenia v Ireland is already reprinted by them - seems to be much darker than an original. One of these guys sold some and they may have been originals or he just got 1 or the pdf and printed them. This is common practice. These guys are also very resourceful at sourcing programmes. It is not unusual for visiting fans not to see a programme at games. Programmes are often available in the home end only or vip/media only. Inside and both team lineups and small photos of players, other page is editorial in Hebrew. Fans at Ireland away games in Armenia, France, Bulgaria, Montenegro would also have said there were no programmes and in all cases there were. Mine came from Israel from a source who was at the game but it could have been a pirate. However I doubt it. A programme collector in Ireland also got a programme (assume it's the same but not compared) from a Rovers source who was at the game (he is not saying whether it is a fan or official). It could be a pirate (I don't think so) but I'm certain it was available at the game on the night.
You could be right but as I say we were situated near the home fans and even mingled with them at half time and saw no programmes. Maybe a few were handed out in some VIP section and werent on general sale. The programme collector you are referring to is probably Gary Spain. Strange he wont say whether it was a Rovers official or fan who gave it to him. In fairness the programme does look official so will have to get it on ebay. For our previous 2 trips in Europe programmes were available in Poland and Liberec. KOH
The collector is somebody else. No names sorry. He is normally coy about sources but he wasn't asked whether it was a fan or official but was very coy and just mentioned good Rovers contacts which could mean anything. He is not on the internet either btw. It may well have been VIP only. The one on ebay might be a reprint but is probably OK. That guy is very resourceful when it comes to getting stuff but is also notorious for pirates and reprints.
Just to confirm that the issue on sale on ebay from eastern europe is a reprint. It is on much thicker paper than the original and the Europa League badge is a different colour. It is a poor copy. I've compared mine sourced from Israel with one bought on ebay. The seller is notorious for reprints and his Armenia v Ireland programme is almost certainly a reprint as well.
