So Deuce is going to ride the pine for a while? Big Deal. He went through this with Hodgson as well. He had to prove himself after having been a starter prior to Hodgson's arrival. Clint is always having to re-prove himself, he will soon show Sparky that he is indispensable.

Deuce is unbenchable imho. He is the Harvey Fierstein of football....he has a flair for the dramatic.

This has to the best Fulham lineup in years right? I'm sorta in between the thinking that Dempsey will have to ride the bench but will score some great goals and show he deserves to be a starter without a doubt, and of the thought he should bail come January for La Liga.

Fulham will finish between 8th and 12th this year and will likely put more emphasis on a domestic cup run than they have in the past (last year's FA cup notwithstanding). That said, a long-term injury to Zamora or Brede will cost them 2-3 places in the table, at least.

Or Murphy. Yep he's dropped off a bit recently, but they just don't have anyone else who can play the sort of role he does. Though that said maybe, Dembele?

I think Dempsey just needs to remember how he got himself back in to the team last time he found himself looking in from the outside. It wasn't by showing off his reportoire of tricks, it was by putting in some hi-octane, high workrate performances. He then cemented his psotion with a goal streak.

Between Duff and Greening, one of them can do well enough in that spot. Danny only has one good game in three these days anyway.

You know, I'm not entirely convinced that Brede has been the best CB at Fulham the past year or so...

I'll vote for it, but first you've got to come up with a photo of Clint in a Duran Duran type outfit sporting a Simon LeBon spiked 'do.

Or maybe it could go something like -

"If Hughes can spot the clues, he'll start Deuce." - Feeble, I know. :D

I was actually thinking the same. Fulham could really push and win the Carling Cup if they put a focus on it. Pretty obvious they'll finish mid table even if a bad season they undergo.

O/T but does anyone know Dempsey's goals/caps atm? I know he scored in the last 2 WC's and the Confederation Cup, but what about the last Gold Cups?
