If we don't get the promised amount we really should launch a class action lawsuit.

Had the email, but as of yet no refund.

I've emailed FIFA this evening advising that if I dont receive it by next friday I will instigate legal proceedings for its full recovery, plus interest outstanding, plus damages for the distress they are causing and my time in having to escalate it further, plus any legal fees I incur.
In the UK we have something called the small claims court, which should be sufficient for my action.
I'm thinking of pursuing the damages element even if they do give me the refund by then. It will only cost me £30 to claim up to £300. Hopefully they would either settle, or feel compelled to send some legal representative which would cost them, one way or the other. If I lose, I only lose £30, but may still have the satisfaction of knowing they have been inconvenienced.

good idea. I actually do know of a few lawyers in South Africa they actually happen to specialize in class action lawsuits. I didn't realize how much of a farce FIFA was... totally lost respect for the organization now. i am actually beginning to wonder if the games in themselves are in fact fixed to some degree.

It was not guaranteed that all of the tickets in a TST would sell. FIFA, the smart people they are, sold our TST individually according to the person I spoke with in Zurich. My info has said since May that ALL my tickets sold, just shy of $2500 worth.

I got the 2nd FIFA email yesterday and it said not only are they taking their fees, which I accounted for, but we will see less than calculated because of Currency Exchange rates. I'm only getting 1940 back. A loss of 460 US dollars! And as I mentioned earlier, we are losing money in lost interest from our own banks or if you charged them, your accruing interest on your card for an item you returned.

Double Penalty for pulling out of the WC for whatever your reason was. Such BS... Still nothing in my account as of 8/20, 8pm.

the funny thing is IT CLEARLY SHOWED that all my TST tickets sold and that I was due a refund of 920USD. Now that entire portion of the website somehow disappeared and vanished and is only showing the "please email our useless email account so we can ignore you OR call our long distance euro line so you can waste more money" options.

you know i've actually been to every world cup since 1994 and even went to a few U20 events... With this shlt experience I think I am done with going to any FIFA games now.

Absolutely right, BUT you were supposed to be able to reclaim any unsold tickets in the run-up to the match. By marking the whole TST as sold, there was no way for people to even know that some of the tickets were unsold, let alone reclaim them.

Also, why were'nt they sold? Tickets to the final, ffs? People were checking the FIFA website non-stop on the offchance of any tickets being available.

UPDATE: My refund showed up this morning. I miscalculated. FIFA only took $260 from me rather than the $460 I had thought.

Oh, I agree, but this is what the rep from FIFA told me when I called. Again, my tickets all sold. I had 10 Cat 1, TST-5 for France.

I too have been to every WC since 94 and my only problems I've run into where in 02 and 06. My friend and I paid for Cat 1 tkts but our seating was more like a Cat 4. Very upset but nothing we could do. I also do not like their new system of getting your actual tkt. It's all BS with FIFA. We are stuck between a Rock and a Hard Place! Either GO or you Don't.

so after calling and threatening them i finally got a 300 refund. Funny 300 USD is what it's supposed to be but I got 300 Canadian dollars only. I am actually due 920 total as it showed on the website before. FIFA are garbage.

Is there someone who reselled TST and got an e-mail that shows less number of sold tickets and the value than you expected and alreday got refund to your credit card account?

In another message board in Japanese, there are some persons who got an e-mail with less value but there is are no one got refund in them.
It seems someone who got refund to his credit card are sent correct value e-mail.

    Just got my email.

MY TST7 sold without and refunded minus a Semi Final ticket. IF I had known this was going to happen I probably would of resold it myself in South Africa.

I called FIFA about my refunds and ended up talking to two different people because the PMA refunds and sales via the FIFA web site are handled by different people. Incidentally, once we started talking the first contact person immediately thought I was calling about TST tickets (must be a lot of calls on that) but I explained that I had e-mails confirming that the single game tickets had been resold. When she looked up my confirmation numbers (from the FIFA e-mails) she said they had tried unsuccessfully to pay the refunds on August 13th. Because my wife's purse was stolen I had given a new credit card number to FIFA and used that card to pick up the tickets in South Africa. However, FIFA has not updated the credit card numbers in their refund data base. They're still using the original credit card numbers which ostensibly explains why my refunds had not been made. Why they made one of the refunds and not the other two remains a mystery cloaked in FIFA BS. Anyway, I gave them the new credit card number and they said the refund would be probably be made tomorrow. So if you haven't been paid, call FIFA at +41 445832010.

Has anyone gotten their refund through BANK TRANSFER? I paid for some of my tickets through bank transfer and am just curious how long it might take.

If so, how long was it between replying to their email requesting your bank details until the money was in? Cheers!

I successfully sold 2 TST 7 tickets and have only been refunded $4046 of the $5456 I was due - I have emailed FIFA and expect them to say they haven't sold all tickets. I will demand a full refund - Has anyone had any luck getting a full refund after only getting a part refund?

Same here. I don't know how they made one refund but the other one is pending for over a week. I think they are doing it based on the phase the ticket was bought in. So refund first phase first and after all those are done they move to the second phase....
