I look forward to the day when our squad is a little harder to crack. I love the fact that we're bringing players in on loan, but its almost embarrassing that a 16 year old kid is probably going to see game time without even practicing with the team once.

Hey, if he's as good as the hype, he could be 12 for all I care.

This is awesome! He'll be the second player to play for AC St. louis that I'd heard of before he played for them, and probably the most technical player on the team by a wide margin. He was wanted by Arsenal and major youth academies before he signed with MLS.
I have to wonder what they are doing about his salary though. As a Generation Adidas player, he was making $85,000 in base salary and $180,000 in guaranteed money this year for Real Salt Lake. http://www.mlsplayers.org/files/june_14_2010_salary_information__by_club.pdf Which was more than World Cup starter Robbie Findley, for example, and probably more than Ralston was making. Maybe he still gets paid by Adidas while he is here.

So I bought the new issue of Four Four Two today (an English football magazine, for those not aware) and I flip to a section that is titled " Meet The Stars of 2014" and under it says "South Africa either came too early for them or their country didn't make it, but you heard it here first: these young geniuses will be household names by the next World Cup in Brazil". Then it shows 12 players from the across the world and there, representing the USA is Luis Gil!
How cool is that?! and England didn't list anyone.

that's a good question. I imagine Schilly will continue to mix it up to see what works best, but I doubt you see Gil, Vidiera and Patterson all starting in the same game. But who knows.

Rookie defender makes big splash in latest RSL shutout
Sounds like Schuler played really well for RSL yesterday, filling in for the suspended normal starter. Also, he jumped ahead of another guy who was presumed to be the backup. Great for him, maybe not great for AC St. Louis.

Schuler did, he was excellent. Many RSL fans were shocked. In fact we are determined now to send Robbie Findley to you guys so he can get out of this post-WC funk he is in. Thanks!
