Well I know about Spain and the Ukraine. The game vs the Ukraine I believe will be in Kiev. They need some friendlies for Euro 2012. Mid November always seem to be a FIFA date. Japan? Blah, I would rather play a Dutch team or somebody better, but I guess Japan will be forking out money to AFA.I also heard rumors about facing Brazil as well(and yes I mean our full teams) and also a game vs the English. The Italy game is news to me, but I would like to see that. Last time I believe we played each other was in 2001.

Considering that'll be playing Spain, Brazil three times in less than 6 months and England early next year, i don't see Japan in the middle as a bad thing. The Italy match is something has been being rumoured for a while now in fact it was delayed because we were going to play them sometime after we played France in 2009, and then before the World Cup...

Looks like these are our upcoming friendlies:

Spain - Sept 7th in Buenos Aires
Japan - Oct 8th in Japan
Brazil - Nov 17th in Doha, Qatar
England - Feb 9th in Copenhagan, Denmark
Mexico - March 24th in USA
USA - March 28th in USA
Italy - June 1st in Italy

Not too bad if you ask me. Plenty of good matchups before the Copa America next summer.

Here's the link I found it on. http://www.argentinesoccer.com/indexen.cfm
Scroll down a little to wear you see the National Jersey and the title: Victory in Dublin. It's included in the 1st paragraph.

Sounds great but I am not sure if these are official just yet. We have a friendly vs the Ukraine on October 12th which is on FIFA's site. I believe the Ukrainians are trying to gather up some friendlies to prep themselves for Euro 2012. October 12 is also a Euro Qualifier date. So not so sure that we will play in Kiev(Where I am guessing is the location) then go to to Tokyo for another friendly 4 days later.

Who knows, but I remember reading that Spain was going to play Argentina in the USA on 9/11 and then this site confirmed that it would be 9/7 in BsAs. From past readings, they have usually been spot on, so I give them credit. I would love it if the fixtures were correct. Each is a solid game, and helps out a ton for Copa America 2011.

I believe there are two sets of friendlies with Brazil. We have the domestic players and also "A" teams going at it. The "A teams" games I doubt will take place in Arg/Bra and could be based all over there the place. These "A" friendlies are all about dollars and cents as that SI article brought up.

Yes, they're 3 the one in Doha plus the other two with domestic based players, one in Argentina and the other one played in Brazil.

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP)—Sergio Batista will have at least one extra match in charge to prove himself as Argentina’s national team coach.

The country’s football association said Friday it will play a friendly against Japan on Oct. 8 in Tokyo. Batista, named interim coach last month to replace Diego Maradona, was in charge for Argentina’s 1-0 victory last week over Ireland. He will remain in the post to face World Cup champion Spain on Sept. 7 in Buenos Aires.

The AFA also said it would face Brazil on Nov. 17 in a friendly in Qatar, the final match of 2010.

Argentina has lined up a match on Feb. 9 against England, to be played in Denmark or Norway. It also said it would play against in the United States between March 22-28. Matches would be against the U.S. and perhaps Mexico. Venues were not mentioned.

In another friendly, Argentina will face Italy on June 1. No venue was specified.

Thailand? Unless the mafioso's of Thailand are going to pump money into AFA's pocket then I do not see this friendly happening. If it is for charity or something, okay fine but other than that, no way.

well the reason spain came to argentina was to get us to vote for their bid. lets be honest here, all of south america would rather have the world cup be in spain than in england.

think about it. spain, as world champs, bring a full squad to BsAs, vs. playing England at a nuetral ground in Europe some where????

I am quite opposed to this blatant whoring out of La Selecion so that AFA can put money in their pockets.

Tevez is tired of lots of things apparently, but I'm certain that he's likely sick of these games where players who play outside argentina don't get the chance to go home because of a meaningless friendly. Imagine finishing a match on Saturday, then hopping on a plane for 13 hours to Argentina to THEN travel 15 hours or so to get to Thailand to play a meaningless game wherein you apparently aren't compensated.

And for what? So Grondona can pocket some $ or use it to grease the wheels of his power machine?

The audacity of these people to try and tell a coach whom to bring and field for a game.
