Best legends to date. The leather is a bit thicker than the more recent models, but I have a white/blue pair that I've used consistently for 4 years and they are still in playable condition. Not great on turf though. There's a reason Tevez still wears them imo.
Posting this on here because it's usually the most active thread. I'm going on an overseas trip for football fairly soon. Got my eyes on the blue CTR's yet to be released and leather cyan adizero's (if they sell them anywhere). If any of you guys find these on a legit site or even ebay, post a link please! Want to show off to our opponents
just a word of advice for anyone who uses nail varnish remover to rid marks on vapors, superfly's, etc. i tried a small part on my superfly ii's and it takes the shiny coat of the top....so dont try it!
Its always done that if you rub too hard. The worst was when i used it on my chrome/blue vapors. Just left a white mark! appleCORR
ah fair enough. its never happened to me before, luckily its only a little mark of lighter grey so not noticeable!
try a cleaning product called "Mr. Clean Magic Erasers." Sounds silly, but I swear these things are great for removing scuff marks and other grime.
I doubt it. I have used their return program before. The damage has to pretty much make the item unusable. Like if some cleats broke off, or the sole broke in half.
I think the damage to boots has to be a manufacturing fault ie) boots splitting or carbon sole plate cracking. Ripped lace covers is just part and parcel of wearing the boot in a game. Its ashame if it happens to you, but Nike probably wont offer a refund as technically its not their error. appleCORR
Thanks to the people who answered my question about the legend I's. i can pick em up in the silver black colourway for around $120cdn a bit much for an old boot but I dont mind paying for great quality.
That's not worth that price anymore. You're better off paying for a new boot. When shoe's are that old you can't assume the glues and construction will hold up. If you buy new then you can always try to send them back to the store you bought them from or the manufacture if they don't hold up
are you kidding? Legends II are easily the worst of the legends series. the tongue is garbage, the leather fades, no where near as good as 1s. And 5 years isn't that old, plenty of people are playing in vapors 1 and 2 and not having any problems, many people playing in Manias not having any problems. I'd say go for it.
I even have a pair of leather adizeros and I prefer my i's to them. There's just something about the way the vapor i/ii's fit that gives an amazing touch.
I thought that too. But I slip alot more in my vapor Is. I think the adizeor is the perfect combination between touch and support.
Guys my birthday is coming up and I want a new pair of boots but can't decide which ones I want. I have narrowed it down to the cyan/white/pink adizeros (leather) and the nike legends III elite. Which one should I get and why?
Granted I only know 2 people who have legends elite, neither of them like them very much. All the stitching prevents the kangalite from getting as soft as the Maestris do, and the fit is pretty weird when I tried them on. I'd go adizeros. Only bad thing I've heard about them is the synthetic tends to bunch up on some peoples feet and the leather loses it's color which really isn't a big deal.
I have officially ripped my lasers III....the soles split from the boot. I'm sending the boot back. The place to send them back is in Memphis,TN. 10 Hours away not far at all
Those really aren't similar shoes at all. What are you looking for? Comfort and durability, or lightness and touch?
Played my first game in my WC Laser Elites this week, and I am quite impressed. A few things to note; they are extremely comfortable and make your foot very protected due to quite a thick layer of some sort of foam on the top of the boot. They are lightweight, but coming from Vapor SLs they arent as light and dont feel as nimble. The material they use is quite odd, it's neither leather or the glossy teijin synthetic upper of the mercurial range however it still gives a good feel of the ball and during the rain in which I played it didnt hold any water. They have a very sturdy heel counter and have good traction however not as good as the mercurial sole plate in my opinion. The strike zone was more effective than I thought it would be allowing me to strike balls with a little more accuracy and control as the shot shield/pads lay pretty flat and gives a clean surface of impact. All in all I am impressed and intend to wear them until they are destroyed. However if I had to pick out of the entire elite range (which I did before I bought these) I would probably pick the ctr360s as they are a little less bulky in shape and a little more classic looking (in the black/mint colorway). Sorry for the long post.
if youre looking for comfort and lightness then the leather adizero all the way. wear them for 30 min at a time and then switch to old boots for the first 2 or 3 sessions...and then they are the best boot ever.
