Frankly, the press and HSV forums appear to be more enthusiastic about Son than we are. They're already claiming him to be at least a Muller and many as Messi. I think the possibility of winning the world cup sometime in the future seems a bit more rational to me.
I hope so, but he's still really young. However, I think it would be great to see him in a major international competition. It'd be great if Son, Suk, and a few of the other younger players were called up to see how they link up together, but I doubt we would give away that many spots to untested youth.
I think he'll definitely still be used as a sub. Usually managers like to be cautious when trying to foster the growth of a future star. By keeping them a sub, you keep the pressure off the boy because that's pretty much saying that he's not totally responsible and expected to finish off every game, but at the same time gets more experience and hopefully confidence. We don't want Son to Freddy Adu it up by thinking he's the second coming of Messi already. Not yet. He's got to keep training his ass off right now and look to keep improving. It's awesome he's got a mentor in Ruud Van Nistrooy right at the club ;D
I'd prefer he stay in Hamburg and maintain his form this season. The national team doesn't need him. As for the Asian Games, that's worth a thought....
Agreed. He'll be on the bench for a good number of the games so I think if he can maintain the continuity of his season without any major interruptions, call-ups, etc., he will be able to focus on taking his opportunities when they come. Much like he's doing now.
Hopefully running an MRI tomorrow is just a precaution for their young star. I think he'd be a great addition already for the Asian games. He'd have an opportunity to earn his way out of military obligation, correct?
afraid not: turns out his foot is broken, he'll have to wear a cast for 4 weeks, and only able to resume training in 8 weeks. ********!
Doctors will decide this afternoon if he will be operated (which would mean an even longer absence). I'm really angry at the football god right now!
My heart is broken. Why couldn't it of happened after his first in season goal? Lets hope that there its just a simple break that heals cleanly and quickly vs a lisfranc or something.
suk scored against chelsea in pre season as well along with a host of other goals. a super cup game was probably not the right platform to have his first start, but ajax had to rest a few players with our paok game in mind.
True. I think Son has generally had less playing time per match than Suk, although that's really just a simple guess on my part; Of course I'd want both to succeed but I think Son is making...well...made the more purposeful strides. Perhaps I'm also biased because I think the former is more intelligent than the latter Anyways, good to see you back!
You know, I really try not to hate Chelsea, but the players and the team just really invite hate. It was probably John Terry - the cheating, old, bigoted fool would be a person suitably unclassy enough to break an 18 year old's foot right before the start of his first season. Gigantic ******** ********ing piece of shit. I hope he gets chlamydia from one of his whores.
What kind of dumb luck is that? You cant really blame Chelsea...I didnt even see the injury occur. I only hope returns and plays the same as before.
