I did some checking, and I can't find that Schuler ever played for RSL.

well, he was just drafted in January. He probably played some pre-season and with the reserves. My friend said they're probably loaning him out to get him some game time since cracking the RSL back four isn't likely.

My ignorant mind thinks that he's sent her on loan for four games...as long as he's not needed up there...that he'll stay with us for the rest of the season.

Sounds like Schuler may play tonight in Montreal according to a new ACSTL press release. I imagine that the loan deal is pretty flexible and that he may stay longer provided he gets playing time and RSL doesn't suffer a rash of injuries on their backline.

Wondering if AC St. Louis can pick up a player or two from the St. Louis Lions, whose season ends this weekend. I realize most of the Lions' players are headed back to college, but Jarius Holmes played last year for the Austin Aztex and is an area player with pace. Might be a nice addition as injuries and suspensions take their toll on the AC St. Louis roster with a lot of games yet to be played.

With Cosgriff under suspension, having another defender would be very nice.

I didn't know Holmes had played last year for the Aztex..

Vancouver releases the Moose! I wonder if there is any chance we could pick him up. I'm thinking that unless players are sent here on loan, like Schuler, that we probably aren't actively pursuing any players.
Also wanted to point out with this article, this is what it would be like to be starting up an MLS team next year. Ah, someday. (Garber did recently mention he would like to see MLS be between 20-24 teams)

I think it will be Collen Warner http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Collen_Warner

he's also from RSL like our recent loan acquisition and was the answer to the AC STL "Who Am I?" quiz. Kinda random to pick a reserve type player from RSL to be the answer to a free ticket quiz.

I wonder if you are thinking of AJ Cochran? It was never mentioned here, but he's a local kid who was training with AC in preperation for the US U18 as they travel to Argentina and Chile soon. Another great young talent from St.Louis to watch in the future.

No...a guy on another forum was telling me his high school buddy was close to signing.

    That's about all I remember.

Collen Warner, a midfielder from Real Salt Lake, is coming to AC St. louis.

He has history with the Portland Timbers U23 side as well as the Colorado Rapids U23 side. He trained in the Liverpool youth academy before Playing 4 years at the University of Portland. He made his professional debut against the LA Galaxy in April.

Ok, now that it's official, I can't help but wonder why another player from RSL?
Is it just coincidence or does it have something to do with Dave Checketts?

RSL used Portland and Austin in the past, maybe St Louis is closer and not going to MLS any time soon.

I can't talk much to Schuler but Warner is a great player and RSL has high expectations for him. He will be a great addition.

Warner was a high draft pick last year...which makes me hopeful, but I wonder what his term is.

    We never got that information.

Schuler's only listed for four games...so Sunday could be the end of the line for him.

well, like I posted on another thread, it was leaked from the FO that Steve Ralston has a good friend with RSL and is encouraging them to have a good relations with us.

I think Kreamalmeyer is on pretty good terms with their coach too.

    Bonus!

Note: Warner came on last night in the 2nd half. He didn't do too much, but when he finally became a little comfortable he started to look good.

Apparently Ralston was roommates with RSL Asst Coach Jeff Cassar.

And yes Kreamalmeyer also used to play for RSL and played with current coach Jason Kreis.
