I'd say Germany's considerably more solid than Netherlands. They've now scored 7 past Argentina and England. Netherlands were pretty fortunate against Brazil.

Don't feel like digging through the archives, but when Germany completely dismantled Australia in the first group game, I called them to win the whole thing. With this performance, I don't see ANYONE stopping them.

    Time for a fourth star!

When Germany win that ball it's like a freakin track meet out there, they run relay in tandem towards the goal.

What can we say, Maradona is the worse coach in Argentinian history.

    His tactical nuance is horrible.

    His substitution nuance is horrible.

His eye for detail is horrible.

He's a clown off the pitch.

This talent was too much for him.

I went into this game prepared for something like this and Maradona delievered.

I feel sorry for the players who were conned into believing we had a legitimate chance with this manager.

Maradona spent more time off the field talking and making a fool of himself, then preparing the team ready for the match.

Why wasn't Guitierrez used? Why sub off Otamendi for Pastore?

Let's wait with judging Germany until they have played against Spain. That will be the first real opponent, because let's be honest: England, Argentina have shown not to be capable enough to really be much of a challenge.

It's been both. If Argentina had put away just one of those many chances, the game is totally different.

Looks like we are in for an epic Netherlands vs Germany finals

    Netherlands beats Uruguay 2-0
Germany will kill Spain 4-1 (Spain beats Paraguay 2-0)

Paraguay would have put a better challenge. Argentina has had barely one real chance the whole game. And the defense is useless. One has-been (Heinze), one never-was (Otamendi) and one second-stringer (Demichelis).

Argentina can't respond to the challenge and raise their game to Germany's level. The players are waiting for someone to grab the game by the horns.

No. Today they got exposed, but Diego did better than most of us expected, and maybe this is as far as we deserved to go.

The way Germany played today, they are almost impossible to beat. I don't know what will become of these young german players careers, but I feel we are getting beat by a team that is becoming great before our eyes.

All in all, I can see the Dutch stopping this German team.

I must agree, the Germans look far superior. I'm getting afraid!
Although Holland won 3-0 to Italy and 4-1 to France 2 years ago.

But I think Holland also could win vs this Argentina, they look very bad.

Germany will be the force for years to come. These players are young now, but the amount of talent they have coming up... They're so solid for years.
