This is going to make it weird as both Portugal and Brazil are better off losing the next match to avoid Spain.

 

Okay, without reading the whole damn thread, the strategic logic here is, they need enough goal differential to top Brazil IF (big IF) they can beat them. If Brazil rests their starters, might be more doable.

If that happens, then Portugal tops the group.

But we passed that point 3 goals ago and this is getting ridiculous.

 

Because this is the only win Porugal is going to get this world cup. And its fun beating up on a team 100 ranks lower than you atleast Ronaldo doesnt get to cry like a baby about not scoring a goal! He got one tonight, too bad he couldnt do it on a decent team.

Ball pops up, forward into Ronaldo's stumble, bounces off his horizontal upper back, drops gently over his right shoulder as he looks around, and he simply lifts a right foot to knee-height and taps it into the empty net.
