This is going to make it weird as both Portugal and Brazil are better off losing the next match to avoid Spain.
Most impressively, in my opinion, North Korea never did make bad tackles or play negatively or take out their frustration with bad tackles. Unlike a certain African team yesterday.
Okay, without reading the whole damn thread, the strategic logic here is, they need enough goal differential to top Brazil IF (big IF) they can beat them. If Brazil rests their starters, might be more doable. If that happens, then Portugal tops the group. But we passed that point 3 goals ago and this is getting ridiculous.
Because this is the only win Porugal is going to get this world cup. And its fun beating up on a team 100 ranks lower than you atleast Ronaldo doesnt get to cry like a baby about not scoring a goal! He got one tonight, too bad he couldnt do it on a decent team.
I do have to give respect to Korea.. they did not get frustrated and start fouling like CIV yesterday..
Thank goodness this is over. I feel bad for the North Korean Team. Despite the beatdown, they put up a fight.
87' 6-0 Portugal dumps in a probing ball from 30m center to 20m arc top center -- #9 Liédson charges into a 1-v-1, and the other 1 coughs it up right to him! He gets an awkward touch to box top center, #7 Cristiano Ronaldo chases it down as #1 Ri Myong-Guk comes all the way out to box top to slide-challenge. Ball pops up, forward into Ronaldo's stumble, bounces off his horizontal upper back, drops gently over his right shoulder as he looks around, and he simply lifts a right foot to knee-height and taps it into the empty net. 89' 7-0 And while I was typing that ... Portugal simple high cross from 20m just wide of box left, to #19 Tiago at 15m left post, header down to the back right corner. North Korea's body language isn't good now.
