That's fine by me, he's an extra six fouls but his presence was missed yesterday as the Lakers out rebounded the C's all night. He's not a 100% and Bynum isn't 100%. It's a level field now. I hope this time friday I'll be calling the Lakers the 2010 NBA champions but if we lose to the C's, we will have lost to a worthy opponent
If ever there was a Kobe legacy game, this is it. Win and he closes ground on Jordan territory. Lose it and he may forever have the blemish of a 4-3 record in the Finals. That will never add up to as good as Jordan, even if he wins one or two more.
that's kind of too bad. i don't think it will tarnish the Lakers victory -- if they win Gm 7 -- but it would have been more meaningful if Perkins were in the lineup. for the Celts to win, PP has to blow up and Ray Allen needs to have a big game, as well. the Lakers are going to dominate the boards, whether Bynum is healthy enough to play or not. BBD didn't do anything but rebound in the Gm 6 loss. Zero points. that's not getting it done.
This is a great chance for Lakers to win as Perk is out and Bynum will go fully beast mode. My guess is 5th ring for the future HOF?
wrong. Bynum will play but unless the Lakers need his minutes, like if Odom gets in major foul trouble, i doubt that he's on the court more than 12. my best guess is 5 points and 3 or 4 boards for Drew.
I have no idea how this will pan out. The momentum has switched nearly every game. Game one, Lakers came out with a dominant performance. Game two, Celtics stole one on the road, game three, the Lakers steal one back in Boston, game four and five the Cs pull out two wins and go into game six as favorites to close it out yet the Lakers manage their best team effort so far whilst on the brink of elimination. Even with Perkins out, it's a 50-50 thing in game seven.
Celtics have absolutely no hope without Perkins. Lakers have it won. Gasol is just too big and strong for all the other Celtic players. Possible triple double for Gasol coming up, definite double double.
you have to be kidding. who picked them as favorites? was that the Las Vegas line or the Antwerp line?
Going in to game 6 they looked like favorites because they had won the last two and were a great road team (reg. season and playoffs).
favorites to win the Championship, mebbe, but not Gm 6. do you know the Celtic's record in closeout games on the road? click to learn the awful truth...
Speaking of awful truths: "Kobe Bryant's 34.4 field goal percentage in NBA Finals elimination games is the 3rd-lowest by a player with at least 50 attempts in such games in the shot clock era (since 1954-55), among the 38 players that qualify." http://topics.npr.org/quote/0fDsbu65Nx2gJ?q=Sports
Well, the Lakers were my pick as champions since before the season began, and of course with game 7 at home I won't back away from that prediction now. But I really hope I'm wrong. Rondo +1 other Celtic are going to have to play out of their minds to get the result tonight in LA. Regardlesss of the result, the Celtics and Doc Rivers have done well to get to this point.
The team who won the 1st quarter has won EVERY SINGLE game in this series Kobe is having a howler right now (2-11) *knocks on wood*
Celtics up 6 at halftime. Not a very *good* game 7. I'm not sure if either team really deserves to win this game right now
