Someone really should've been at the far post there for the Orange. That would've sealed this one.

Wow Wes almost scores from a heavily deflected shot off a Danish player... It's been that kinda game really.

He's smiling at the sheer absurdity of it all. That's a one-in-a-million shot, which you couldn't recreate even if both guys practiced it -- just bad luck.

Like watching both of your golf partners carom their tee shots off your ball and into the cup, for back-to-back holes-in-one, which oh-by-the-way knocks your ball off the green, down the slope, and into the water. Those whom the gods would destroy, they first mock.

i think most teams of their style would have struggled against the danes. i would expect the same struggles from brazil or spain.

The ball movement that lead to that goal was sexy.

Finally. That's what you get when you give up trying to attack on the right and bring Elia back into the game.

Great hustle by Kuyt. Bad defending to let him get on to that.

85' 2-0 #10 Wesley Sneijder throws the post pattern from 35m slightly left, #17 Eljero Elia bursts through the box top, controls at 15m, to 11m left post, pulls Sorensen out -- opens right instep and micro-chips Sorensen to the far post. Off the post and rebounds 1.5m out -- #7 Dirk Kuyt arrives first and dunks it.

Typical Kuyt. Great build up. 2-0, now a 'deserved' win.

kuyt is unbelievable , 85min and after all that running he still had it in him to run after that ball although there was a slight chance it would bounce off the post

amazing fighting spirit from the 30 year old :)

can't blame them when they give up a shite goal. and their depth at forward isnt even that good to get the result. the dutch made the right moves due to their depth. they were crap pretty much until elia came on. completely different team now.

That was a ridiculous defensive play by Kjaer. Kjaer stopped while Kuyt kept playing and got the goal. Denmark will be really unhappy with both goals conceded. It would still be 0-0 if they made 2 basic clearances.
