Help. I just bought tickets to match 54 thru Fifa.com, and my cc was charged. But how do I find out if I actually got tickets? The 'History' link kicks me out, and I received no email confirmation or evidence of ticket purchase.
thank you for the infos, I'll take a look at the tickets area now. The greatest solution would be buying the tickets with an prepaid. Do you know if it's possible?
This happened to me again.. only this time i booked tickets for myself about a week ago and was yet to collect them. last night i managed to get some opening tickets for a friend, using his name, id, credit card... When he went to collect his opeining tickets, the machine gave him my ghana vs germany tickets as well. And they're all now in his name! This could be a problem for anyone who has used the scanner to buy tickets for someone else. They might pick up their tickets and yours...
sorry for the stupid question but here it goes........ I bought tickets online a few weeks ago and received the confirmation email. I haven't received anything in the post yet - do I just now fly to SA with my email and credit card and pick it up at a collection point???
yea, there were no official confirmations sent in the post for tickets bought in the last phase. do what you just said..
The last minute sales homepage does not work for me. Just get the circle whirring round continously. Been happening all day. Must be my internet settings...anyone know how to fix this?
This problem is mainly with internet explorer. Either use some other browser (firefox, chrome, safari etc) or use the scanner with the updated exe.
I found an answer...when it says 'Do you want to view only the content delivered securely', instead of answering "Yes" like I have done dozens/hundreds of times over past few weeks, I needed to enter "No". What caused this to change I do not know! (PS. Thanks for help scorpy)
Well, where at what websites are you purchasing the tickets? Are there anyones you can recommend? and what are the payment methods?
I think most of us thought this was a wind up as we've been discussing this for the past 18 months! But if this is genuine... 1. If you are not in South Africa...go here http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/organisation/ticketing/index.html 2. You need a VISA or Mastercard to buy on line. Possibly other types of cards too. You collect tickets in SA. 3. All the popular games are sold out BUT tickets come available every few days for many games. Keep checking. 4. If games you want are sold out, then general consensus is do not buy tickets from any other site, especially at over face value, as it will be easier/cheaper to buy a ticket on the day. These sites look official but are just dressed up touts. Obviously if it's a game you MUST get to then make your own choice. 5. Suggest you also check the ticket swap threads. You might find someone going to a sold out game with a spare ticket.
Still 2 cats. of tickets for Eng/USA this evening despite the two biggest followings and one of the smaller grounds!
Do you think there will be SF / final tickets during the upcoming days? Or there is no chance for this?
dunno how many of you were at the opening yesterday but there was a block on the top tier that was almost empty. I watched to replay of the game and it seems they did their best to avoid showing it on tv. http://www.sport24.co.za/Soccer/WorldCup/TournamentNews/FIFA-to-probe-empty-seats-20100612 seems as tho the tickets weren't even sold cause the article claims that volunteers had to try fill it up. Did they simply forget to sell tickets for that block? Tickets seemed sold out on fifa.com and at the ticket centres.
Has anyone picked up a ticket that wasn't issued in their name? Did you have a problem? I'd like to know because depending on how the tournament progresses I might not go to the games I have tickets for. I have a friend who is going to SA for the last two weeks of the tournament and I'll give him my tickets if he can pick them up.
I sent a friend with my credit card. I also gave him all the necessary documents. However, he did'nt need anything besides the credit card. He went to the machine, and got the tickets without any problem
hi don't know if this has been asked yet, but has anybody experienced any problems gaining entry to the stadium with tickets not on your name and main member not present?
I know a colleague who got the TST package for the USA group games. He is no longer goign to south africa and has simply conceded losing the money he paid because he hasn't even been able to post them for resale. As we know that part of the fifa site has had it's share of problems over the past month, but what I'm wondering is if he could make a photocopy of his ID and Card would they allow us to receive his 2 tickets to one of the games (algeria game being the one in mind). Anyone else in a similar circumstance and doing this or even thought of it?
