yeah no one can deny his skills. any NT wishes they had a striker like that.

But you said it, he's a racist mother f*cker and one player i just can't stand. he's way too cocky.

List of injured players for this WC.....

Now add to that Nani and Iniesta... Looks like we aren't the only ones missing out on this WC, It's a shame for us though we won't get to see these players or... Valencia :( but there is still a good chance Brazil will win so I'm giving it to them that would reflect good un us barely not qulifying(South America teams do well) so it's logical for me to go for them. Who I prefer to win though is not Brazil I rather USA win to boost the sport there and I like our team now, very athletic unlike the past teams.

Beelieve it or not USA will be the darkhorse IMO.

    Great list...

Despite all of Germany's injuries, I hope we get far...Other than them winning it, which is unlikely, I don't want to see any of the previous WC winners win it, nor Spain - those guys are so freakin cocky after the Euros and between Real Madrid and Barcelona fans - ugh, I just wanna puke!

I would not mind seeing Holland win or an African side - though i doubt very much that will happen.

I also want Uruguay to go down... That should have been our spot...
but enough of that... I've since reconsidered my picks.

I'm still rooting for the land that feeds me...go USA, and of course the S.A. team we schooled but tied 1-1 in Quito, I will root for Messi but not Argentina because I can't stand Maradona, it would be nice for an African team to be inspired and play beautiful soccer so I pick Eto'o s Camerun, I'm rooting for Honduras and Chile because I know they can beat Spain if they are on their game...

I'm rooting for the under dogs in that group. Go Honduras and Chile!
Honduras has a colombian coach and they beat Mexico in el Azteca.

Honduras did not beat Mexico at the Azteca.

It just occurred to me that I'll actually root for Mexico for the first time in my life. Mexico will face off Uruguay in the last group phase match. If a positive result for Mexico will eliminate Uruguay, then I'll be cheering for them like never before.

didn't hear about that. I'm pretty sure it would have been Mendez b/c Guerron wasn't called up for the game i think. Guerron stop being considered for the NT a while back so it had to be Mendez. he deserves to get his ass kicked

Ecuador has to be in the next World Cup, with Brazil automatically qualifying, there could be 6 out of the 10 South American teams making it.

Not necessarily. I don't think FIFA has yet decided on the spots alloted to the different confederations for the next WC just yet.

True, but I would prefer they maintain the allocation numbers the same for South America, rather than give a fourth team from CONCACAF an automatic place.

I think we all prefer that here, doesn't mean that'll happen. ;)

  24. JLoeza

I don't necessarily want this so Ecuador can have a higher chance of qualifying, but most likely a presumed fourth slot for CONCACAF might not have the same quality futbol as a sixth place South American side. Another words, it seems like a sixth place South American team in the World Cup 2014, would have a better showing.
