Glad to see this scumbag is finally getting his comeuppance. There is NO chance these are the only two women he's raped and murdered over the year. None.

At least he'll be rotting away in a Peruvian prison instead of an American or Dutch one.

Frankly, when I heard about this the long and short of my thoughts were this: damn, now we're going to have to hear about that sensationalized Holloway crap again. Young women are raped and murdered every single day, and only rarely does the media give the slightest damn -- particularly if they're not pretty blondes.

WTF? Your compassion is overwhelming. If you're not interested just STFU.

YOUR compassion is reserved for the Holloways of this world and not for the Ramirezes. YOU STFU and let the kid post as he sees fit.

He's right. And, unlike the librul media, he's shown the same amount of compassion for Holloway as he's shown for all the other rape/murder victims out there. This is news because of Holloway. Ramirez alone gets NO press unless she's killed by the same dude who killed the pretty blonde.

You wanna join hands and sing Kumbaya for Holloway, great. It's not like she deserved to die. Just man up and admit that none of us would know jack shit about this guy or Ramirez if he hadn't killed Natalie first. That's relevant, and it's always going to be relevant. You sound like one of those stupid rednecks who told Black people to STFU when Susan Smith confessed to murdering her own kids and blaming it on a brother.

I'm from Bolivia. Once me and my cousin went to the prison in La Paz to drop off a care package for a friend of hers. Damn....this bastard's in for the time of his life....

I know what he might expect in Peru, but why would we assume that Dutch prisoners are fine gentlemen?

Uhmmm, no, it's your selective compassion that's most worrying.

One of the first things I thought when I heard about this new murder was "this'll be the first time ever Fox News report the murder of a Peruvian woman".

He's much more likely to be protected from the other inmates in Holland, not to mention that that the living conditions would be infinitely better.

I'm not so sure that he actually did it to be honest. Don't get me wrong the boy is a psycho and we're all better off with him locked up. But he's so messed up he doesn't even know what the truth is anymore.

By the way the Peruvian girl was not raped. The Peruvian authorities who examined her confirmed that she had not had sex.

I think the combination of all the circumstantial evidence in the Holloway case combined with this second murder makes it very likely indeed he also killed Natalee.

We're talking about someone who confessed to the Holloway case about six times - each time giving a completely different version of events. Sometimes I think he loves the attention of the media so much that he just makes up things. That he actually LIKES to be seen as a serial killer. Whether he genuinely is is another matter.

This is news in the US because of Holloway. Ramirez was the daughter of somebody fairly well known and political, so it would have made news in Peru, and probably much of South America anyway. I actually got his from the international news when I was in Europe last week.

You STFU and let him reserve his compassion for whoever he damn well pleases.

Also, how do you know he doesn't reserve compassion for the Ramirezes of the world?

And, is it irony that you're telling someone to STFU for telling someone to STFU?

So because he worried about one person and not another, Fish should be ostracized? At least he cared for the one and didn't apply, "well it happens every day so who cares...."

Really, it took you this long to bring in the Fox News card? You're slipping.

It's clear we have to lock up all young, tall, poker-playing Dutchmen who enjoy strangling young women. You certainly don't have a problem with that, right?

Except when they conveniently label any Republican caught cheating or stealing money a "Democrat" with their chyrons. So yes - Fox News is a unique abomination in the news business.

So have they used the caption "Van der Sloot (D)" in their coverage yet?
