I just recently saw an 80's DINAN M3. It looked and sounded excellent, it looked especially good in red
Both are overrated. Audi....truth in engineering Way better engineering and AWD is freakin awesome. Audis have awesome interiors and look freakin hot. I also love the engine options on Audis.
From an engineering perspective, I don't see Audi on an equal footing with either MB or BMW. Their AWD is a result of Audis essentially being FWD cars. Very embarrassing for a luxury car. It also results in a longer overhang in the front - not so nice. Design wise, I generally dig Audi though (except for the front overhang of course).
The original design is FWD, in most markets, you can even buy an FWD A8, only North America is quattro only AFAIK. Because FWD should have nothing to do with luxury cars, they tweaked it a little and also build AWD versions. But it's designed on top of a FWD architecture. As I said, the front overhang gives it away.
Audi has traditionally been FWD, BMW, Mercedes, Jaguar et all have been RWD. To counter that Audi developed the Quattro program, but purists may not like it. That said, I'd take an Audi over a Mercedes (compact or luxury cars, racing is something different) every day. BMW still wins, however.
thanks guys. but didn't Audi develop the Quattro in the 80s already, rally and all that? do they still use the same architecture? anyway, tbh, I don't really care much about the big luxury cars. I like the A3 sports a lot, and it's a brilliant drive with a great interior, FWD architecture or not. so I'm not sure that is really a sign of being technologically below MB and BMW. I'm not an engineer, but the drive quality of most Audis would indicate a different approach, rather than inferior technology. also, their engines and gear boxes seem to have a very good reputation. and through the VW group they have access to quite a lot of good technology. for me personally, it's between Audi and BMW. I just wish BMW would make a bit more of an effort with their interior design, it's really rather dull...
At least at high speeds (Autobahn baby :-D) the BMW 1 series drives much better than the Audi A3 (FWD), from my experience. Just calmer, less hectic.
well, I've never driven the 1 series, so can't compare, but I did drive an A3 sportsback at over 200km/h on the Autobahn. I never felt like it was somehow a hectic drive. it was a bit bumpy, but that was because the Autobahn wasn't the newest anymore, lot's of little repair works which made the road itself rather bumpy, in combination with the hard, sporty suspension of the A3. but that was the trade-off for lots of fun driving in the mountains, which I was happy to take. I once drove a heavy MB with a rather soft suspension at 250km/h on the Autobahn. it was a really smooth ride, but a bit boring, and as soon as I was off the Autobahn it was like driving a ship. even less fun...
+1 1991 318i Vert. There's something to be said about a 20 year old car that's not only going strong still, but that is fun as hell to drive.
It's defends on what you want or your needs there is no better car or best car the value of the car is defending where do you want to go or what do you intended to do AnxietyCoachJohn
Hahahahaha! Ford Grand Torino! Mostly cause I own one though. 300 HP no replacement for displacement!
BMW if you want a sporty, fun ride. Mercedes Benz if you want overall top quality control. BMW is more attractive for young people.

The 335I in the sport model (at least 2007/8) was offered in a twin turbo charged version which is considered to date the fastest non-M badged bimmer ever made. That's what I drive on the weekends.....when the wife lets me Hoping to order a Dinan chip to increase low/mid range torque as well as eliminate the top end limiter. My justification is the fact that one of the toll roads out here has a speed limit of 85mph.
I'm only 52, I don't feel old enough to drive a Benz. The BMW 335 is too fast for my tastes, too skittish. I had a 323 back in the day, that was a very nicely balanced car -- the engine was just about right for the size of the car. I've had a few other BMWs and an Audi too, but the cheapest of all 'em (the 323 I bought used) was my fave.
I think Mercedes Benz is better in all aspects than BMW, Mercedes have recently launched Benz A class which available in the price of 23 lac. Having exciting features like 7 air bags, break assist. BMW has launched good cars but car in comparison to A class has no comparison
I would suggest you BMW car, this car come with fabulous interior and exterior.I would like to say that car doors also indicate car beauty and elegance, Different brands of cars produce different designs of cars.
