    here all along

    okay i'll post

lols we're hanging on - once again - by our fingernails (or more like Bardsley's). seems to be our style

unfortunately the trades and international drafts during pre season designed to shore up our defenese in absence of Rampon and give us more firepower up front isn't quite bringing in the results ... at the moment

So as much it sucked to lose Asante, I kinda understand why Trotter was brought - obviously the team dynamics needed to change and hopefully a new offensive player would spark up the team

But I'm hopeful (as was alllll the way last year) and we are in better position then last year ! We're better positioned as 2nd (even if the other posters don't agree), we now have 2 tried and proven stellar keepers (whom epitomises the gutsyness of the Sky blue i support) and we have a line of key starters/players waiting to come back in.
And when they do, they'll be eager to make up for what they've missed

injuries suck - but I wonder whether Branam will be put back on when she's ready with Bardsley looking good so far

As for this weekend - depends on who will be ready to go on roster. STL will be tough

The injuries kicked our A$$. We need more firepower up top. I hope Rampone comes back in her old form. Dowling and Taylor continue to impress. Both Bardsley and Branam are excellent keepers with allot of guts. I hate to lose Asante but it does open up an international slot. At this stage Trotter can only help us. Following the weekly predictions with most calling for Sky Blue to lose reminds me of last season and we all know how that turned out.:D

we are hanging on....we need our defenders back..DId you think Dowling played well in atlanta?? I really like her but i couldnt keep count of how many balls she lost and bad passes she made. She has got to pick it up or she may find herself not playing when Scnurr and rampone return.

I wonder if we're going with normal 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 like against FC gold pride. STL will have the stronger attacking mids, we'll need to contain them
Bardsley is going to have another big game

See thread directly below this one: (sbfc v. beat), where I asked almost the same question you are asking now (And it looks like an astoundingly high *three* replies from 417 "views" thus far.)

While we're not as bad as Philly or Atlanta, it seems we are third from the bottom in posting. Don't know if this reflects a specific kind of apathy or these are three regions with fans who aren't into online forums.

Ok so there's six of us. I mean we are the defending champions, so I don't know why so many people are hiding. I saw that Koster Story vid and saw how many rabid people were showing up to the games, so I thought there would be more SBFC posters here or at least a few bandwagoners. I'll try my best to keep it lively here, but I'm gonna need some help.

Yeah St.Louis is going to be a tough game. Those little leprechauns are out for blood. I'm hoping the midfield and fowards will start to gel. We need to score some goals. Once everyone gets back I think we'll be fine, but the wait is killing me.

I also noticed that Dowling didn't have the best game in Atlanta. This is not the norm because she is usually very consistent. Bachmann can be a handful. Lucky for us she couldn't hit water if she fell out of a boat on that day. If Rampone comes back in form, Keeley pairs well with her. Schnur is a very intense player and plays a good game. I just don't see her making the runs that Dowling is capable of. Taylor has been the prize in the cracker jack box considering she is the rookie. Bardsley was Sky Blues Hope Solo. Next up st. Louis. They have an excellent team and I expect them to be in the top three at the end of the season.

Last season I couldn't make my mind up who I liked more, Red Stars or Sky Blue but with Tarps and Lloyd leaving the Red Stars, it kinda swung it.

Yeah Bardsley is on fire right now, if she's not the England #1 at the world cup next year then nothing is right with the world!

Lets hope Kai & Lloyd hurry up and recover!

I'm a sky blue fan and I will try to post some things from time to time :)
"Problem" is, I don't live in the US so I'm not able to watch full games, only summaries (or maybe I can trough livestream, I don't know...). So I don't have a really good view on how the team is playing and how the newcomers are doing it (Kalmari does look very strong)
But when i watch summaries it always looks as if the other teams or better... or at least create more chances. It seems that it doesn't yet "click" with the new people (which is probably normal) and ofcourse the injuries aren't helping.

Welcome to bigsoccer. There are a couple of international posters who have been able to access the Fox Soccer Channel webcasts of the games (legally, even). They might be able to give you some advice on getting the fsc stream.

Hey. SBFC is running a great promo for this weekend's game.

I know the holiday weekend can be a busy one. But on field cabana tickets are available for a significant discount this weekend if you bring a group (ie $16 off the regular price).

Is there anyone going this weekend? If you are I know you're in for a real treat! Post your game experiences here if you do so oblige. :D

Some fans like myself are not blessed to live in the area. :(

Good weather; good game; but unfortunately not the win we'd have liked. Attendance was lower, but given the holiday weekend not bad. They announced something more than 3,000.

A couple chances went begging - early O'Reilly looked to be in on goal, but didn't strike it first time, and lost the angle before she shot. Landstrom had a great run towards the penalty spot late showing for Schoepfer who had broken inside her defender to get off the through ball, but she put it behind Landstrom. A few too many long balls from some of the defenders. Kai came in after the half, and had some nice runs, but not enough service from the midfielders into her feet. Lots of pressure on our backline, and they were fortunate to survive unscathed. Koster looked much more secure pressuring the ball tonight.

It was an enjoyable match. What can be wrong with being out watching a game of soccer?

It was a beautiful night for soccer. I had the pleasure to sit next to a very knowledgeable fan, only to find out it was Yael's dad. He is a nice person and class act so the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I purchased my "Jersey girls" t -shirt and attendence though not full looked decent. Our backline played well. I was glad to see Koster shake off the hit she took. I felt that White and Rosana gave to many balls away. Towards the end we resorted to some long ball. I would have put Landstrom in earlier. Dallstream worked hard and it was good to see Kai back in the line up. Kalmari always remains a threat. I cannot say enough about Bardsley and she is one cool cookie. It looked like Boston's Riptide was in the house but they struggled to get the drums to the top of the bleachers. You guys really need to train with your girls to get in better shape.;) All in all a good night of soccer and Boston was putting it together especially at the end.

yeh thanks for the run down

Yael's Dad eh ? thats why one should always be careful what you say in the stands, you never know who is around

sounds like it could've gone better and could've gone worse, guess what matters is we have a team to cheer for.
Sounds like Rampone will be back in match action soon, it would be good to see the A team together

Still way better than your funeral march fans. Let's only scream for free t-shirts and not wear SkyBlue gear. Ok! You just earned us a corner.... So Minor League. This why the league believes that your fans didn't deserve the title because you could have 25,000 and it'd still be quieter than a morgue.

C'mon Sky Blue Fans! Sadly this is more accurate than we'd like to admit. I've come here to ask: would there be any interest for a Sky Blue supporters group? To get some things going at the games (other than screaming kids)...

veetle.com usually has someone streaming FSC, and if the game is broadcasted on FSC then you can watch the WPS feed at the WPS website if you dont' want to use veetle.com

I would love to be a part of one...............BUT I live about four states under. I do try to support the team as hard as I can. I am a bit dissappointed by those who are in range and who don't go or don't go all out for SBFC. If I lived in the area you can bet Tasha Kai's sweet Hawaiian ass I'd be there. There are those that do put in the effort and I thank them.

Can even you have a rivalry when one team has never beaten the other? ;-)
