I too am having issues with Bigsoccer on Chrome. Same with BirdsonFire, it will lock up and crash my browser once I click the "forum" button on the homepage. It just started happening yesterday. Running Vista 64.
Started about a week ago, wouldn't be surprised if it's related to the new Facebook homepage content (or maybe it's just a coincidence).
I still have the same problem. But I have realized something else. It's the front page. I can "backdoor" in. Meaning if I don't come in via the front page, I can use the site. However, if I go to the front page at any point. Chrome will crash. Every time. It doesn't do this with any other website.
Same problem. Since the Forum page is my default, I can get to that page and then get to any other page without a problem. Once I go to the Home page, though (which I do to see the newest Blogs every day) Chrome freezes solid. Other tabs won't even open anymore. Started just a few days ago (Monday?); had been fine for months before that.
I think I noticed sometime last week. But I'm not entirely sure. I also get some bizarre shadow left over from whatever text was last highlighted. That stays there until I close down some remnant Chrome application that is somehow still running.
Yeah, I was getting that too. Always "Open in new tab" and it stayed on my screen until I rebooted my computer (or did task manager only to find about 6 instances of Chrome running). I dunno what's going on, but mine on Vista 64 bit is working fine again.
The text just depends on whatever was last clicked. I could get it to change once it went to the permanently highlighted text. Odd.
Worked once this morning. Went immediately back to the front page and it locked everything up again. Even when it worked, it was incredibly slow. While locking up, it was trying to load l.collective-media.net. Not sure if it normally is or not.
Same problems here - I've noticed issues when contacting static.ak.facebook but also when making other external connections though I didn't make note of them at the time. As others said, these problems started appearing about a week ago. If the homepage loads, it locks up completely when I click on another link.
Definitely a problem with the FB plugin. Added these filters (http://lifehacker.com/5542041/block...r/full+(Lifehacker)&utm_content=Google+Reader) and have no more problem.
Unless BS just fixed the problem, the problem lies with FB's Instant Personalization Pilot Program. Somehow that was not turned off. I turned if off and the front page is usable.
I'm having the same issue wiht BS and Chrome...front page loads and as soon as I click on anything, it locks up...
Me too - I still use Chrome for work, so I have to tell myself constantly to not go to Bigsoccer in that browser so I don't lose what I'm working on.
