Just wondering if there is any Buzz around C-bus for the upcoming game on Saturday.

Living 2 hours north, we hear almost nothing other than what I can pick up online.

I'm thinking of driving down for the game saturday night with the wife and kids, and making a bit of a weekend out of it. We have friends in the area that we can visit with it being a long weekend.

I was looking on ticketmaster, and it looks like my best option for tickets is either 112 or 206.

Just wondering what the local buzz is, and if i should be buying tickets ahead of time, or just making a late week decision and driving down.

    Thanks

(p.s. - I'm not thinking it's a sellout, but don't want to get stuck with 4 bad seats either)

Man, there better be! My attendance prediction contest for the week might depend on this HIGHLY marketed match.

If you can buy the tickets in advance, i'd recommend it. I'm fairly sure the ticket price gets jacked up a couple bucks on game day.

Keep in mind that since Beckham is hurt, there won't be as much buzz, but there was a banner at the stadium the last game that mentioned "Black out the Galaxy" with the date.

I know their is no Becham or Donavan.

But we have 2 teams that are a combined 14-0-4 with like a plus 20 something GD. that has to count for something right?

This should be our biggest crowd of the season so far by quite a bit. If you know you're going, it probably couldn't hurt to buy in advance.

And I just looked on ticketmaster, and they just released some tickets in the top rows of 109. That happens with ticketmaster a lot, as tickets that are being held for some special team promotion or for some reason or another are released for sale as the event draws nearer.

If you can get the tickets in 109, I'd say go for it. Odds are you won't find much better than that.

    I'd say so... go check the Gals board. {Dont comment on there unless you're nice.. remember they are our friends!}
As one guy posted after the Boca friendly:

I would think that the weather and it being a holiday weekend would lead to a bigger than normal crowd than who we are playing. If I would guess at a crowd number I would think it'll be around 17k.

The weather is going to be great. I wouldn't be surprised with atleast 17-18K.

I just talked to my ticket rep and he said they're at 13k tickets sold now with a week left. Walk-up should be really good too since the weather will be perfect.

Kids are fine. SW corner of the paved lot, right beside the big drainage ditch - look for all the Crew flags. Bringing something to share is always welcome.

If you can get your hands on a $10 VIP parking pass, i'd recommend it. The $7 general parking is an abomination. The catch is that they don't sell the $10 passes on gameday.

Pitch doesn't normally look too bad after ROTR

    Buzz should be diminished with:

    1) Dononvan, Buddle, and Beckham out for LA, and maybe Marshall and Rogers for the Crew.
    2) The focus of the week will be on the WC squad and the following friendly.

Still, I'd expect a bunch of people bought tickets w/out realizing the timing.

If you do not mind them seeing adults (in age at least) drinking beer you will have no problem and a good time. Main course promises pulled pork sandwitches and Mike is bringing smoked chicken as an alternate. Kids will find some soda and water available as well.

They're not selling them at all this year. Despite the parking lot being half full for every game, the FO maintains that they are "Sold Out."

That's old news, Beckham has been out for a long time. The best player on either team, Schelotto, will be there, that's all that matters.

The buzz should be increasing thanks to this being a matchup of the two best teams in MLS.

When was the last time two undefeated teams met this late in the season anyways? Maybe sometime in June? I seriously doubt we ever got 2 undefeated teams by the time July rolls around.

Nordecke is all but sold out from what I found out today. CU,HSH and LTA still have tickets available but I wouldn't wait to reserve them if your looking to be in the Supporters section.

You've got a big name opponent, albeit sans their big star, who's coming in as the only other unbeaten in the league. Throw in some nice weather and the fact that it's Memorial Day weekend (the Clippers do have a game that night at 7:05, so that might have a negative impact), and it seems reasonable to think that they're could be 17-18k there.

Field looks good after ROTR. We have great groundskeepers that do a fine job. Should be interesting of the attendance since LAG are missing the "star" players : Donobag, DUI Buddle and Old Spice.

All the talk about projected attendance made me look at Ticketbastard at work tonight. From what is released to TM, there are less than 1000 tickets out there for sale via TM. Whether that is a fair barometer of what the attendance will look like on Saturday is not my call.
