The remaining three are now showing as sold, at least they are in her "my tickets" section. Won't be too sure until she finally gets the cash back, mind you!

Guys, I have a quick question. I have 3 extra CAT1 TST7s to Argentina that I need to resell thru FIFA. Each TST7 was 2728. I think 248$ out of that was TST fee. So if they are indeed sold what do I get back per TST - the full 2728 or the full price minus TST fee?

    Hi Sam,

This is the reason why I didn't submit the TSTs yet:

Note that the original Ticket Applicant will not receive back any of the fees that he may have paid when originally purchasing the Ticket, such as the Team Specific Ticket (“TST”) Fee, Participating Member Association administration Fee, or Advanced Ticket Request Fee, if applicable.

    (From http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/organisation/ticketing/tickettransferpolicy.html)

On top of that it says 10% of the facevalue of the tickets to a max of 20$.

    So that would mean I am losing 248 x 3 + 20 = 764 on this deal.

Akshay you will only loose max $20 per TST as the TST is classed as 1 ticket rather than a ticket for each game etc.

The fees it is talking about are fees you might have paid to gain the tst i.e if you went through a third party and they charged you more etc. or went through argentina football association etc....

if you paid direct through fifa then you will not have any fees to my knowledge.

i sold 1x tst3 which cost me $526 and they will refund me after the final game $506

When you put them up for sale, the web site shows you the amount you're going to get.
I have put 2 TST7s for sale and they showed the amount of 5436, which is 2728*2-20.

It's $20 per resale request. If you put all of your tickets up for resale in one go, then that's just $20 for the lot - it's not per ticket or even per TST.

Plus the TST application fee will be deducted:
Note that the original Ticket Applicant will not receive back any of the fees that he may have paid when originally purchasing the Ticket, such as the Team Specific Ticket (“TST”) Fee, Participating Member Association administration Fee, or Advanced Ticket Request Fee, if applicable.

The price of each TST Series is the sum of the Face Price of the tickets contained in the TST Series, plus a 10% TST Service Fee.

So presumably for a TST your lose 10% plus the $20????

So I put my Cat-2, TST-5 tix for Paraguay up on 5/13, and checked today, 5/18, and they have been sold. Doesn't tell me the amount, just says ticket sold. My other two TSTs are listed with no status, so looks like the site is behaving like it should. I'll continue to check back and see if they make any changes like some other peeps are reporting.

Ahhhhhh, the Summary link. A tad hidden.

Resale date 13-May-10 Fees 20.00 USD Total to refund 761.00 USD
Resale 781.00 USD Ticket to Resale

The My Tickets pages Status = Ticket Sold. The Summary page Status = Ticket to Resale. Does that look about right?

So you think you are getting the full value of the amount you paid (which includes a 10% TST fee) less just $20?

Probably been covered before, but can those who have sold TST's confirm this?
The FIFA site explicitly says you do not get the 10% fee back, doesn't it?

Whilst the summary pages shows your refund on TST's to be the full face value less the $20, I think you will lose the 10% TST fee as well.

There is a TST fee in the initial FIFA cost - its not just other 3rd party fees.

For example, one Cat 2 TST3 cost $396.

    A Cat 2 ticket is $120.
    Therefore, 3 Cat 2 tickets = $360.
    Plus 10% TST fee = $36
    Total TST Cost = $396.

According to the policy, in this example, you would only receive a refund of $340 (i.e. Face value less 10% TST Fee less $20 resale fee).

I live in hope that I'm wrong and the refund amount showing on the summary page is correct, but I don't think FIFA will give away money that they don't have to.

This would also make sense given that you can't buy TST's anymore and so FIFA would be splitting them up to sell tickets separately. In single ticket sales they will never be able to recover the 10% amount initially paid.

The 10% service charge for TSTs is non-refundable. Fans who paid for TSTs in the first sales phase were not refunded service charges if their team failed to qualify for SA.
I'm happy that FIFA reclaimed my spare TST-7. I will not have the hassle of trying to sell spare tickets on the black market and I doubt I would have got back as much money doing so.

Agreed. I think it is a small price to pay for a little peace of mind, not having to deal with extra tix if you didn't want to, and perhaps forced to. Plus it comes out of my friends pockets who bailed on me, so it doesn't cost me anything. :)

That's exactly what I have been saying and is precisely the reason why I have not put up my TST7s for sale.

Here is the breakdown of a CAT1 TST7(not inc. SA or Mexico which have opening ceremony premium):

    3 Group Games = 160 x 3 = 480$
    1 R16 = 200$
    1 QF = 300$
    1 SF = 600$
    1 F = 900$

So the sum of the facevalues is 2480$. Now on top of that there is a 10% fee, this is not a third party thing it's FIFA that I paid this directly too.

So if you add 10% of 2480 (248$) to 2480 you get 2728$ as the full TST price and 2728$ is what I paid.

Now if you give it back then you will get 2460$ for you 2727$. You lose the 248$ which is the TST fee + 20$ for a total of 268$.

This is clearly stated on the FIFA ticket resale policy. So I am still skeptical about the information on this thread because it doesn't make any sense given the fact we know how greedy all these guys are.

I think you guys all have it wrong on this one.

    Best,
    A

    Where do you see this?

    I am assuming you are talking about a Cat1 TST3. So you paid 528$ not 526. This is 3 x 160 + 10% = 480+48= 528$.

That 48$ is the TST fee, it's not a third party fee - you paid that directly to FIFA.

You are going to lose 48+20= 68$, so final refund should be 460$ not 508$(or 506).

This is not a big deal for a TST3 but I am trying to get rid of 3 CAT1 TST7s so I am looking at losing 744$ just on TST fees.

    Make sense?

    @ akshay

dude, if you put "X" TSTs for resale "together" in one go, FIFA will only deduct a max of $20

If you decide to put them up for resale "individually", then FIFA will deduct $20*X

yup, I completely agree with you Richard and have stated this to akshay too.
Akshay, dont fret.. you should put all 3 TST7 Arg for resale as long as you put it under one resale request. I think they will sell quick and you will get all your money back - 20 dollars that FIFA will backpocket.

You are missing the whole damn point, read the posts carefully.

I don't care about the 20$, it's the TST fee that is NON REFUNDABLE. Completely separate issue from the 20$ thing. If you have TST you paid 10% premium on the sum of the face values.

This is a "SERVICE" fee, not part of the ticket price and hence is non refundable. Check one of my other posts for the link to the FIFA policy.

Even initially when hou applied for TSTs in lottery and if you didn't get them you were entitled to a refund for the whole thing minus the Group TST fee so 2728 - 48$( 10% of 160x3).

For Chrissake this is not rocket science, I don't know what you folks are smoking ;- ).
