Hi - I've had my tickets on re-sale for quite a while- every time I login to check if they have been sold it keeps asking me If I accept the terms and conditions (basically it seems as if I have to go through the whole re-sale process each time) does anyone else have this issue....if so do you think it is just a glich in the system? Or could we somehow not have our tickets showing for re-sale to the general public.

I've got one ticket (mine) sold for Matches 53 and 58 and three guest tickets that are still "tickets to resale". I sent an e-mail to FIFA with a screen shot of my summary page asking if this meant only my ticket has been sold (as opposed to FIFA only listing my ticket as sold when the entire group had been sold). I got a response from FIFA saying they've received a lot of queries and providing some answers to random questions that were irrelevant to my question. For the last week my ticket resale seems to have been in limbo. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone from a single game resold to having one or more or all of their guest's tickets resold. It seems like FIFA sold off the applicant tickets to preclude people from changing their minds and reclaiming their tickets. When you're stuck in FIFA limbo you can't reclaim tickets and resell in the secondary market so you're stuck. And why doesn't FIFA sell guest tickets first?

Indeed, I have been waiting to buy #32 and have also not seen it go on sale at all. This is the only game (except #1 and the final) that I have not seen for sale.

Good luck @uuaww -- I suspect there is pent up demand for this one.

As I posted on the TST resales thread (but copied here for completeness):

"My friend just sold one Cat3 Paraguay TST5. Still got three to go but on course for a better result than feared! They're still having to go through the 'I Accept' screen when they log on to review progress of the sales."

    Add 2 x TST-6 Mexico Cat. 2.

The "My Tickets" tab says Ticket Sold on both, but the "Summary" page still says Ticket to Resale. Hopefully, I'm good. Anyone else like this for TST?

    Yes, VAMOS. You do.

To be honest, I didn't think I'd get my money back. I still kept checking out of curiosity but I really felt that I had thrown $2850 away. That changed when I saw today that a lot of people had TSTs sold, so I went to check mine and it was sold.

If people are saying that their TST7 are successfully sold, doesn't that mean someone is buying that final ticket that is part of that TST7? Now the question, who is buying it and where?!?

Fifa are buying the TSTs. No doubt they're selling on the group matches straight away, but they can't sell the knockout stages yet*, and I don't expect they're in a big rush to sell final tickets.

    * I suppose they can if they get sufficient TST returns from all the nations in a group, but it's probably a bit complicated.

So a sold TST7 essentially means that FIFA was able to re-sell group games but they are hanging on to knockout games? What if they are not able to sell tickets for those knockout games? They are surely not going to refund someone 90% of their TST7 price if they are not able to sell some of those tickets. Doesn't sound like FIFA. Maybe a sold TST7 means: Sold: All group games + knockout games except for SF and Final cuz FIFA knows that SF and final games can definitely be sold at any stage.

But if you have, say, a TST4 they don't actually know which second round game that ticket will be for. So there's no way that they can sell it, and then mark your TST as sold.
Fifa have to be playing a numbers game, and taking a bit of a risk.

Also, don't forget that if they start selling your group match tickets but don't update your TST status to sold until (say) all three are sold, then in the interim you could recall your TST. They'd then have to let you go to the match even though they'd sold your seats for some of the games.

So I think that Fifa have to decide to buy your TST before they start selling.

Is this how it was done in 2006? TSTx was re-sold as individual tickets or as is?

FIFA definitely are playing a bit of a numbers game here, but I think it's a fair assumption that any TST-5, 6, 7 they re-buy are going to get sold on again for the knockout games on that ticket.
I think we can expect the see the knockout stages start to trickle onto the board over the next week or so, but their current priority is filling as much of the stadium for the group games as possible, and leaving the easy-sells until later on.

As for the final tickets, expect to see Danny Jordaan and Jérôme Valcke wearing dark glasses and a wig outside Soccer City on 11th July selling final tickets for USD 2000. FIFA will get their money back one way or another....

So why in God's name FIFA isn't doing the same thing this time around? Surely a tried and tested method would be simpler to use. I guess FIFA is really struggling big time with tickets sale. Trying to sell TSTs at this stage would be really difficult due to such a low interest (compared to 2006). I guess it works well for fans trying to re-sell their TSTs. Atleast FIFA is taking it on itself by buying back these tickets at a risk even if they have to pay the refund out of their own pockets.
