That's true, hadn't thought of that. If Fabianski is in, however, there is absolutely no guarantee of anything.
I agree. The season is way too long, and with Euros and WC every two years, these guys just don't get a chance to rest. Between the international friendlies and the CL, the season really does start to drag. Of course, the fact that we finishing so lamely doesn't help either...
Lost to the Everton Ladies in the FA Cup final today I saw the highlights, can't put all the blame on Fabianski... No clue why the far post wasn't covered on the first goal (looked like that was Nasri)... And he got crowded on the second and got no protection from the team These loses are good because Wenger needs to take out the trash
You notice that the other teams' goals happen to always occur with Fabianski being crowded out or flopping and missing a corner though. I think he might just be a little bitch.
By the way, what's Wenger going to replace the trash with if we can't spend any money due to the stadium debt? hmmmmmmm
he is, but it seems we have a team of little bitches, not just goalkeeper... He should of had more help on that second goal
Don't disagree at all. Just trying to make sure Fabianski gets his share of the blame (or, moreso, Wenger gets the blame for playing him) for being a horrific goalkeeper.
bigman....should I have said "a striker who shoots" and "a number 10"....na greedy shooter sounds better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Da prince........apologise to SONG immediately......the guy is a beast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He aint no bitch suckeeeeeeeeeeeeeer! big up bro! I hear your deeper message!
This is very right, Song is good. Probably one of the strongest and best on the team. But many of the rest of them are weakasses.
Isnt the stadium debt is almost paid off entirely? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...er-windfall-from-Highbury-property-sales.html We're currently £200m in debt so once the £133 is paid off then we'll only be in the red by £67m or does that not work that way?
No. The Highbury development is not Emirates stadium. What almost has been paid off is different debt altogether.
the stadium debt is structured over 20 some odd years, and isnt anywhere near a deterrence to signing players
Fuc this stuff about playing hard and competing cuz they are professionals or competition for their place in the starting 11. We need more players that have the attitude of Sol, Cesc, and TV. Those 3, IMO, would play with the same intensity whether its a pickup game in the park, or the final of the CL. Just flat out loving to compete and hating to lose. That's all I want. Give me 11 guys like that.
Wayne? Your retort? If I recall correctly I was lambasted for suggesting we'd sign players with all this debt.
Some just call it pride, but I agree. Every team loses and all players have off days, but some players always want to give a good account of themselves and want to show that they're the best (regardless of whether they are or aren't). You can't teach that. It's either a part of your personality or it isn't.
I don't know what you are talking about. I've said that we have cash available plenty of times. You'd have to give me the context of our discussion. I assume that you said something ridiculous like usual. The only conversation I remember us having was when you suggested that the baordmembers were getting rich off the club and that's why they didn't want to spend money. You gave me flashbacks of Martin Doaust, which probably is why I posted a reply in the first place.
I wasnt disagreeing with Wayne, and I dont think he would disagree with what I said the development loans is why we couldnt sign players, not the stadium loan which is like a mortgage
I disagree. There is 50m due next year, 180m due 8 years after that, and the need to set aside some emergency funds for a "what if we drop out of the CL" scenario (which would hurt us most, as CL money makes up a larger portion of our revenue than any other big club AND we have a huge wage bill). We only make a profit of about 30m a year, so we don't have a lot of wiggle room.
