your right, messi is a winger, never cuts inside thats why he rarely scores goals and his main objective is to get past the fulback and whip a ball into the box.

ya, well when you cut inside like he often does where do you end up? in the middle.

I think its not accurate to call messi a winger. a winger to me is like a winger in a typical 4-4-2 system the main objective of a winger is to stick to the flank , stretch the play, and cross the ball into the box.

    Messi is a wide forward

alrite, well Barca doesn't utilize their "wide players" like that. Messi and Pedro both cut in but are considered "wide players."

but i think we are arguing the same point with different arguments

I agree with you 100%, and I think Messi choked last night.

Er, let me rephrase that. Messi did what he ALWAYS does when Barca get shackled. NADDAA. If he actually was an individual like CR, he would have been able to do something.

Wow. C Ronaldo literly put Real Madrid on his back today, and created almost every chance capped off by his late gasp winner.

Not to mention he scored a nice goal for Real Madrid's first.

Real Madrid is C Ronaldo's team, no one elses. Kaka and Benzema were invisible today.

He better play like this for Portugal, nani or danny would accompany him perfectly instead of Simao, whose too slow to keep uo and play those close 1-2's.

Ya he played well. You could tell the last 10 minutes of the game Real were looking for Ronaldo for a header goal in the box. Because he was leaving everything to the wings and they were throwing it in. It eventually worked, credit has to be given to Higuin for the pass.

Nani I think has a spot locked up now, starting. Danny has me salvatating with him starting along Nani and Cr9.

So today we had Nani and CR keeping their teams alive for the league titles. Let's hope they keep this up in June into July. And, yeah, on that 3rd goal, Higuain's cross was terrific. Left-footed too. Who said he never passes to Ronnie? ;-)
