Sorry but I am too lazy to go into your link, just briefly can say a team like Chivas use refuerzos from other clubs that are not in the Copa Libertadores in the round of 16 from the Mexican league?
I was at the game. Here is a first person report. The stadium was awesome. 50 K people with almost everyone in white. Very loud. Sao Paulo has a very fast team, but they seem to me to be a team of midfielders. Everyone wants to create, no one wants to score. They like attacking down their left side and isolated 1 v 1 against the opponents right back who played awesome for most of the match, but he did get beat end line for the goal. Once Caldas has a very good keeper. Sao Paulo keeper played well making two outstanding saves but his distribution was generally poor. Once applied a great deal of pressure in the second half and won almost a dozen corners, many of which were dangerous. The hit post was off a corner, if I recall correctly, when a defender moved up and got a clear header. Overall, an entertaining game. I think Sao Paulo sat back too much after the goal and perhaps tired too since they played very high pressure and pace for the opening 40 minutes or so.

If FMF normally allows that then yes, they could sign other players from mexican teams that didn't take part in the Libertadores(In this case they wouldn't be allowed to sign none of the 25 of Morelia, Tecos or Santos), now as far as i know none of the 11 federations taking part on this don't allow this kind of moves outside the transfer period either, seeing as CONMEBOL has restricted it due FIFA demands.
En realidad Universitaro esta por encima de Flamengo, aunque los dos todavia tienen chance de clasificar o de quedar afuera, dependiendo de los resultados de hoy.
Tremendo partido el de Inter-Quito. Alecsandro almost scores the second for Inter. El Pato no parece seguro. En cualquier momento se viene el empate. O el 2-0.
Acabó el primer tiempo en los dos. Inter 1 - 0 Quito, Cerro 0 - 0 Emelec Right now: Inter 12/+4 Quito 10/0 Cerro 7/0 Emelec 1/-4 You need at the very least 10/+3, so Cerro needs to score 3 goals in the second half to go, but if Quito ties then they go with 11 pts as first of the group and Inter is 2nd with 10/+3, tied with Universitario.
Y Bolívar scores for Inter. 2-0. Quito was attacking more, too bad for them. Now, it looks like it's game over. ¿Y Cerro? Impotentísimo.
These will be the games for the round of 16, anything else is highly unlikely Corinthians v Flamengo Sao Paulo v Universitario Estudiantes v san Luis Velez v chivas Libertad v Once Caldas Internacional v Banfield Nacional v Cruzeiro U Chile v Alianza Lima
Nice game between Inter and Quito. Quito was no pushover, but Inter took it to them. They hadn't impressed me up to now, but they played well today. Carlos Amarilla sucked, as usual.
Quick Copa analysis, thus far: Brazil : 4 teams direct to group, 1 team qualified in 1st Round, all five made it to R16 = 100% Success. Peru : 2 teams direct to group, 1 qualified in 1st round, 2 made it to R16 = 66% Argentina : 4 teams direct to group, 2 eliminated in 1st round, 3 made it to R16 = 50% Uruguay : 2 direct, 1 qualified in 1st round, 1 made it to R16 = 33% (27+ pts/+4) Chile : 2 direct, 1 qualified in 1st round, 1 made it to R16 = 33% (27 pts/+2) Paraguay : 2 direct, 1 qualified in 1st round, 1 made it to R16 = 33% (1 Top of Group) Colombia : 2 direct, 1 eliminated in 1st round, 1 made it to R16 = 33% (1 2nd in Group) Ecuador, Venezuela, Mexico and Bolivia are not represented. Pavon of the tournament so far: Bolivia. 1 team humiliated in 1st round, 2 teams finishing last of their groups in Group Round. 7 goals scored, 29 goals received. Dishonorable mention: Venezuela. Team in 1st round almost made it, but two teams in Group Round ended last in their groups. 11 goals scored, 27 goals received. Surprise: Peruvian teams. One would expect them to be at the bottom with Venezuela and Bolivia, but they have been surprisingly good. Disappointment: Argentinian teams. More was expected, it may be a sign that Argentinian football is entering decline.
Hmm i think Paraguay, Mexico and Ecuador brought up bigger dissappointments, we all knew beforehand that if Lanús didn't took their chance this time around then it's likely they never will, until the last second they had their chance but they blew it, as usual, nobody expected Banfield's performance in the other hand. So who are the two second placed teams getting screwed?
