With the Celtics game being on tomorrow night, the Revs game has been pushed off to other channels (but will be shown on CSNNE at 11:30 on tape delay I believe).

As of right now, this is the list of channels per the Revs blog.
I just checked Channel 81 in Nashua, and for now it just says off-air. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we get that channel.

As long as it lets you tune in (even if it says "off-air"), you'll be fine.

You should call Verizon, because the problem's on their end. Comcast can't not offer their network to other providers.

No other provider matters but FIOS.

if its not on FIOS it may as well be transmitted via morse code.

(note, these opinions are mine and are related to the fact that i only have one broadcast provider and fios be thy name.)

For the home opener, the station was "off-air" up until about 1 hour before the match when the info was updated. It worked no problem with me on ch 81 comcast. Make's things tough with a DVR though.

FWIW, I'm guessing the same Comcast towns that didn't get the alternate channel last week won't get it this week, either.

    What a cluster********.

Revs should have stayed with 38, which is available to everyone and needs all the programming it can get.

I always said that the worst part about being on 38 was that bars didnt know what channel that meant on their system. Now it's even worse, you pretty much have to carry a lst of possibilities!

CSN is a much, much, much better place for the Revs to be on than 38, and if you don't see that, that's your fault.

I'm as annoyed as anybody with the whole thing, but TV38/WBZ sucked. They needed programming but wouldn't lift a finger to promote the Revs. At all, ever. WBZ never discussed the team in their sports roundups. Forget that crap. This situation isn't ideal but its 82 times better than TV38.

I think it would be worthwhile to print out the list of channels, maybe have it laminated if that's cheap or someone has access at work, then one of the Riders brings it with them to the normal 'Rev' bars around the region to give to the manager. This way, at future viewings bartenders don't have an excuse to not show the Revs if they have a tv guide behind the bar and Rev fans request the game. In the greater Boston area, The Banshee, Landing, etc already know us; but to generate Rev interest in other parts of New England (ie Hartford, Providence, Portland, Manchester, etc) the first time you go to a place just bring a guide to leave there so it's quick and easy to find the game. This way, there's very little conversation/thinking that needs to take place in a loud, crowded, busy environment. Maybe even print an extra copy for CBS Scene ;).

Access to the game on TV needs to be simple, consistent and widely available to all viewers in NE to be effective. The past two weeks that requirement has not been met. IMO, the jury is still out in answering the question is this new TV arrangement an improvement or not.

I'd say the worst part about 38 is that it's unavailable in much of New England, but that's probably just a personal gripe. I, for one, am thrilled to be able to watch the Revs this year.

I found enjoyment when I DVR'd the game last weekend and they interrupted boxing for the Revs. I could only imagine someone watching and saying "what the hell?" :D

Very true. Much, much better coverage of New England and HD to boot for you blind types.

This didn't come without issues. If you had TV 38 on your provider and now get two games in a row (and maybe more if the Celtics win) on tape delay, this looks like a bad deal to you.

Not really, especially considering the station is a sports station, airs Revs commercials to it's demographic, and has articles about the team on their website.

The alternate station is not a big deal. The games are still being shown live and in both cases they are being re-aired on the regular station. The graphics package is 100x better and it's in HD.

As always, when the Celtics/Bruins/Leave it to Beaver marathon pushes the Revs off their usual channel, you can watch on Match Day Live.

For those coming to the Old Amsterdam in Nashua, they do get the channel so we're all set.
