What about tickets in their away section? Should I wait on buying tickets until we can figure out whether a group is going?
Yes we have a contact with RBNY and section 220 is the away supporters section with 500 available seats. I believe the group ticket price is $18 so email me at kmmc@crewunion.com to reserve tickets. I'm meeting with Turbina tonight so I should have more info tomorrow.
Blake and I met with La Turbina last night and the game plan for New York is to do an up and back bus for supporters. We will use part of travel fund to heavily subsidize the trip and hopefully keep the cost to $50 or less. Each group will essentially have a third of the bus to fill (16-20 seats to fill). If you are interested in heading to NJ for the Crew's first match in Red Bull Arena please email your SG contact to reserve a spot. Crew Union - kmmc@crewunion.com Hudson Street - hshcrew@gmail.com La Turbina - Contact Miriam As I mentioned in the previous post individual tickets in the Crew supporters section are available for $18. So if you're making a weekend out of the trip or have already made other plans email me at kmmc@crewunion.com and we'll get you squared away with tickets.
So I'm thinking of coming on this and doing a story about it, but I have to be at a wedding 6:30 p.m. Friday night in Gahanna. How realistic is that?
If you're talking about the bus trip you'll be fine, we'll be back Friday morning. We're heading back after the match.
I emailed both groups since I'm not a member of any to check on seat availability. I got wifey to sign off, so if there is a seat I'll be driving down from Lansing, MI then on the bus for the trip. Plus I think I'll be in town on the 15th visiting her family so I'll hit that home game too Geeked if there is a spot for me
Believe we're waiting for a final price from the bus company before we can finalize the bus trip price. So, short answer is 'not yet'.
Currently the plan is to leave really early Thursday morning, but that's something we need to finalize with the bus company.
Edit in: bought into the CSU for the year along with a few new scarves to add to the collection. I'll keep an eye on the website, this thread and email replies for info. interesting, attempting to edit my old post did a reply...
so i heard that the bus was going to NYC for the afternoon before the match. is this a tentative idea or a set idea. i know that some don't want to go to the city so will there be another option for those who don't want to go?
probably depends on when we leave and what time we get to NJ. and logistics of the drop off. would we take the bus back to NJ, or take the subway/train?
