That's the question I wonder for the Green Army. Do we switch to the PDL and support the Internationals? We might have to come up with a new name, since the team isn't exactly green. Also, by supporting the Internationals, we would have instant rivals, in Cincinnati, Dayton, and Michigan. Also, supporting the Internationals would be similar to supporting UAkron. Last season, Nagbe, Mwila, and Zemanski all played for the Internationals. I know it's not ideal, but it could be better than no soccer.
As long as we don't get tossed out for chanting (I got some nasty stares from fans when I chanted a high school buddy's name as he was subbed in to a match.), I'm all for it. Also, I wouldn't mind chanting at a Vortex match or some local college matches (providing the school is OK with non-student chanting sections - some aren't).
Any speculation on any of the groups that had looked to buy the City Stars? Any chance of a return of a USL 2 team?
For all of you Cleveland supporters, you are all more than welcome to stand with Columbus supporters in the Nordecke. There are already many Crew fans from the Cleveland area, so perhaps you can link up and make the trip down to Columbus together. I think there's a strong Columbus-Cleveland link that already exists because of cross-over support. If you're in the Green Army, get to know the guys in Hudson Street Hooligans, La Turbina Amarilla, and Crew Union. The contacts, friends, and experience you'd get from teaming up with them could be quite useful in helping to develop support in Cleveland for a potential club.
Absolutely! Myself and some friends have a half season package with the crew in the Nordecke and its great to make a weekend out of. Plus all the supporters groups are very welcoming and the drive is not bad at all. I encourage all of you to at least try it and i promise you will not be disappointed.
Most of us do support the Crew and usually get to a couple of games. I plan on being in the Nordecke for the home opener and probably even more games if I end up at Ohio State Law.
I listened from 51 to 53 and heard nothing that had to do with Cleveland. Stop spamming links. I knew I shouldn't have even bothered to listen. Edit: Alright, I see you were referring to the 3/17 broadcast. Next time you might want to specify. Starts closer to around 52 than 51. And heck, it's a brief mention that we got screwed over. Big deal, that's common knowledge.
