If you are already going to this game please put your name down below. Are you driving, flying, bus? Do you have a place to stay? We're trying to get a headcount of how many people from Boston are going. You can purchase tickets here.
Re: USA vs Czech Republic (Hartford, Wednesday) Fran Garrett I'm driving. Maybe taking a half day from work. Not staying in Hartford either. Driving right back after.
Re: USA vs Czech Republic (Hartford, Wednesday) I am interested in going, but I probably couldn't leave until 3:30 or 4. Saving up my vacation for South Africa.
Re: USA vs Czech Republic (Hartford, Wednesday) I am going. Where are most people sitting? I'd rather sit with fans who are going stand & cheer & sing the whole 90 than sit on my butt. Thanks Becky
Re: USA vs Czech Republic (Hartford, Wednesday) I don't know what section we will be in, but if you buy a ticket through The American Outlaws you will definitely be in the same section as us.
Re: USA vs Czech Republic (Hartford, Wednesday) AO Boston may have a bus running from Boston to Hartford. We're just trying to gauge interest at this point. The only problem with the bus is that we'd get back after the T stops running other than that it should be fine.
Re: USA vs Czech Republic (Hartford, Wednesday) I will be there. Either driving or taking that bus. Could the bus be near a parking lot so I could leave my car there all day? I will be bringing one or two others with me.
Re: USA vs Czech Republic (Hartford, Wednesday) FYI, the game is on a Tuesday, contrary to the thread title.
US vs. Czech Republic Tuesday, May 25, 2010 Rentschler Field East Hartford, Conn. 8 pm ET Great news from AO Hartford: The hotel contract has been received; the group discount rate of $149/night through code: AMOAMOD Residence Inn By Marriott Downtown Hartford 942 Main St Hartford, CT 06103 860-524-5550 http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/bdlri-residence-inn-hartford-downtown/ Walking distance to the new Connecticut Science Center, great restaurants like Dish, Morton’s and Asylum Cafe. You sir, are uninformed. EDIT: Apparently the post I was replying to got deleted. Some stupid Swiss guy. Anyways, can't wait until we sort out all the events for this. It's going to be sweet.
Re: USA vs Czech Republic (Hartford, Wednesday) There is a parking garage in Central Square you could park at, that is probably the cheapest option. Maybe an expired meter ticket is cheaper, might want to look into it. The garage is on the corner of Green Street and Pearl Street and right around the corner from the Phoenix Landing.
Re: USA vs Czech Republic (Hartford, Wednesday) Alright, 8 people (including me!) paid a $10 deposit for the bus yesterday. The 50 person bus leaves the Phoenix Landing at 3:30pm on May 25th, for $25 you get a ride to and from and beers on the bus. Bring food and grills for the tailgate if you would like, and a few beers for the tailgate. Get to the pub and put in $10 for your deposit and write your name on the envelope when you can, just ask whoever is behind the bar, there is a white envelope with the names of people that paid on it. Garrett has info with tickets if you don't have them yet and want to be in the Supporter Section.
AO Boston just sent out this email (in case you didn't get it) regarding the bus: "We are excited to announce that we are working with the Phoenix Landing on a bus to the USA vs Czech Republic game in Hartford on Tuesday, May 25. The cost is only $25 and the bus will leave the Landing at 3:30pm and return sometime after Midnight. Beer and food are allowed on the bus plus people are encouraged to bring tailgating equipment, too. Reserve your spot today by putting down a $10 deposit at the Landing or even pay in full if you'd like. If you can't make it to the bar you can PayPal the money to Garrett garrett.quinn.3000@gmail.com and he will add your name to list. Tickets are not included with the package but we should have more information on that soon. The period to purchase tickets from AO has expired but we may be getting an extra tickets to sell. We'll have more details hotel and pre-game festivities soon. If you are interested in spending the night in Hartford and not taking the Brass Bonanza Bus we have secured a discount for members at the local Residence Inn Marriott. Residence Inn By Marriott Downtown Hartford 942 Main St Hartford, CT 06103 860-524-5550 http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/bdlri-residence-inn-hartford-downtown/ Contact us for the discount code if you want to use it.
