Change of plans - the Coffee Pot Cup (and I, but I am less important than the Cup) will not arrive until the Wednesday games.

We have to skip the first Saturday games so we can get paid :(

Ya'll didn't arrive until the Saturday game last year so no worries. The important part is that it arrives in time for the actual Coffee Pot Game. I mean, I would hate to have to make someone wash all the glasses it would take to get an equivalent of beer as the Coffee Pot. :D

    See you Wednesday!!

    http://www.charlestonbattery.com/matches_previews.asp?cid=442

    Few tibbits

and looks like this confirms that Dusty retired

Article also mentions a few other players on trial, including Mike Zaher, Jamaican defender Lance Laing, striker Brandon Massie, former Wilmington Hammerheads winger, Chris Murray, Jon Gruenewald, College of Charleston product Zach Prince, Forward Levi Coleman and the return of Charleston Battery midfielder Kevin Jackson.

Mike Zaher as in former DCU Mike Zaher? Cool deal! Hope he works out or at least gets you Jojo's autograph.

And is Fuller still playing with you? I want a jersey, just cause I think the name is kinda cool. ;)

Yeah that Mike Zaher, he seems like a nice enough guy at teh meet and greet but I didnt have a chance to talk to him personally.

fuller is going to be a player/coach or coach/player this season. He recently had groin surgery so he is still recoving from that.

The pro shop will be open and they have in the past sold game worn jerseys there during the Carolina Challenge Cup. Join the Regiment Supporters Club
($30) and get 10% off at the pro-shop as well as the new Battery scarf for free!

Too bad the over 35 & 45 league games were cancelled tonight, Auggie said there was a chance for some "guest" players from the MLS coaching staffs pklaying with us, but with all of today's rain, they didn't want us tearing up the stadium pitch, 2 days before the CCC.

Tailgate starts at 3 near the East Stand Entrance. (we'll be there before if you can't contain your excitment and you can help us set up!)

We will have food available (pulled pork and sides) and a grill if anyone wants to use it to cook up some stuff. Bring a couple beers, a side or throw some meat on the grill. Join us and fans from TFC, DC and RSL before the match on Saturday!

After three years in England I am headed back to Savannah, and will be in town looking for a house next week. I might be able to make it up to the Wed night game.

Would be nice to see the Regiment guys again.

Any tailgate plans for Wed night?

Stopped by the media event today. All four teams were their as well as staff. Five TV cameras were their as well as a few local journalist.

mostly listened to the interviews nothing really telling though.

Saw O'brien Woodbine and spoke to him. Obviously disappointed in not getting picked up by Chicago but happy about being back in Charleston.

anyhow was the local stations tonight to see the reports. (Live 5, Azteca were their for sure.

Most importantly for those that cant attend, It looks like the games will be broadcast. TFC is going to do the hosting and charleston is giving up some of the cameras, crew and gear to make it happen. Not sure if they all are going to be announced but look for links before the match.

TFC hosting? Oh great. I have to sit through commentary like:

Toque 1: So our boys are lookin' good, eh?

Toque 2: Yeah eh. Good to see 'em back on the field, eh.

Toque 1: Oh look, some hoser in a black jersey just scored. Who was that eh?

Toque 2: Dunno, they all look the same, eh. How about them Olympics, eh?

    :D

A couple more years and I can just add a "C" to it. And shouldn't you be PCSing by now?

What hotel are Barra staying at? I might hit the Saint Pats parade in Savannah and then drive up, but need to find a room.

Hi, Mikey: Can you post the pub-crawl details in here when you get a chance. I have to come from DC to Charleston via Providence (don't ask) and, along with my fellow Screaming Eagle passenger, I'll be getting in around 8:30 on Thursday and will have to join the drinking in progress.

Hoping your boys beat those Mormons to a bloody pulp on Wednesday.
