Well, the picture name is donovan-bra.jpg. So I guess it's sorta on topic.. though not about the game mind you.
Excellent point. The characters on this squad are so memorable and quality. How could I not like a team with each player having such a different style but fitting together so smoothly. I love Osman's and Baine's weavy style. Distin and Heitinga? I'm sure we US Nats fas are dreaming of having a pairing like that on our squad. Pienaar...the mosquito with no respect from the ref. Arteta..really at this point gravy since he is, what?, 65% of his potential at this point? Neville...not my favorite, but his role on the team is so important. The old leader...sage...experience...not flashy and old skool but a necessary ingredient. Saha? A little selfish at times but amazingly keeps the ball in some hard challenges. T-Ho? Love the guy but he does make me nervous. I know, flame me. But, he just seems too jumpy at times. Of course, Fellaini and Cahill I love. Even before LD was a Blue. I hate ManU but I really like Berbatov's style. I think the word they used today was languid. Subtle genious.
Everton can make a legitimate run at the Champions League next season if they just hold on to the bulk of their roster. However, Landon adds that dimension that no other player gives them and makes them that much more dangerous. I'd say their chances of making the top 4 improve at least a bit with Donovan on their squad.
You don't recall correctly. It did indeed occur in the all-star game, but the year was 2001. That was his debut season in MLS.
And the "joke" wasn't too bad until Mamadou Diallo starting fondling on of the bras the men were wearing on national tv. Good thing that only about 1,000 nationwide were watching.
Yup. He was 19 and scored 4 of 6 goals for his team in this match and won the MVP. http://web.mlsnet.com/history/archive.jsp?year=2001&content=allstar
During the replay of Rodwell's goal celebration there was a young woman visible in the stands (within the first two rows) who was plainly leering. You?
Well, you never know if the WC doesn't go that well. But Everton would be interested no matter what. LD was pretty clear he wants to playing in the US though. It will ultimately be up to him. I will say if he goes it would likely be to Everton. He is very big on his comfort level (that's why he wanted to play in LA in the first place) and I don't think he would take a chance with a much bigger club. Also, Moyes, like Hodgson, is so good at not asking more from his players than they are capable of and making things easy for them tactically.
Wasn't there a rumor a month or two ago the Kliensman could takeover in Liverpool. If so, then an LD to Liverpool could happen, but i hope not I have grouwn attached to Everton and would like him to rejoin them after the WC
Haha, nah, I sit in that stand but further back and more towards the goal (I don't like being too low down) - it is times like those that I wish I sat down there though Tim Cahill is always stripping his shirt off after games, I don't think there is a shortage of pictures of that! He loves himself though
