Be proud, you boys of Maryland. Sound off, let us know where you're living. I know there's at least four season ticket holders in Baltimore, possibly five. Would anyone be interested in carpooling to reduce gas and toll costs?
How did this thread get so off track so quickly?? I'm in Maryland near Cecilton. I know you have no ide where that is, so let me just say it is in Maryland, but very close to Middletown, DELAWARE. Oh sh!+, here we go again...
Chesapeake Beach SoB here. I'm about a 2.5 hour drive to the stadium so season tickets were out of the question for me. But I plan to get to a few games and definitely look forward to meeting up with everyone when we're playing DC United.
No. I moved to Maryland about 5 years ago, but haven't actually played competitive soccer in about 10 years. Just a fan these days.
grew up in olney in montgomery county... used to play for bethesda sc. ive lived in PA now though for the past several years for college and grad school, but still love MD!
Notice I said "near" the dump...I mean Cecilton! Cecilton has the nicest firehall for miles. Good thing 'cause all those double-wides go up fast!
Fed Hill. I'm thinking about getting a local bar in the Inner Harbor/Fells/Fed Hill area to be the official Philly Union/SoB bar for the games. Any thoughts on a good location?
Slainte runs specials for my USMNT group during US games, so I'm sure I could talk to the promotions guy and get the SoBs the same deals.
I was at Slainte for the first game and was the only SoB there . Its a cool place but I'm not sure if it has enough room/tvs to watch with a lot of people. Any other thoughts?
I was in Seattle for the game. We'll organize a nice little group of five or ten people for each away game at Slainte, but I can't imagine there will be that many more Baltimore-based SoBs.
You should consider carpooling with us. I've got a number of friends who are going, and I'm sure they'd be willing to drive you if you'd be willing to pay for tolls and parking.
Thanks but I'm heading up Friday night and staying at home for the weekend (I'm originally from Philly). I'll probably take the train in and head straight to McFadden's @ 2.
