If I get this right, you mean #18, who signals "come over" to the rest of the teammates. If so, it's Campora, the scorer of the first goal and our most prolific scorer this year, with 10 goals overall.

I totally agree with the analysis u made about the meaning of this gesture!;)

I was impressed with how hard Freddy works on defense now, and pretty effectively too. He also looks rather happy! ;)

I was particularly impressed with the sequence starting at 6:48. Freddy for D-mid, anyone? ;)

What I notice is a player with a lot of rust... He will get better with more games... For him to be contributing is great I think... He's still not beating defenders as easily as he needs to, but he will get better with that... Some of the weight on his passes is a little off, but that will get better as well... I'm not seeing a player that cannot improve and is a lost cause...

Not Every game can be an Adu "show".

Thanks so much for putting together those clips, Nick. I was glad to see that Freddy saw so much of the ball -- certainly seemed active. Suggests to me that he was putting himself in good positions and his teammates have enough confidence in him to play him the ball.

I was also glad to see that Freddy still has the confidence to go at players one-on-one, although I think he lost the ball nearly each time he tried to do this. It's still something I like to see, and as novastar said, I'd imagine that will change as he gains experience.

In the end, it's just awesome to see Adu actually getting some playing time with a European club... :)

One thing that struck me was even when the aggressive moves weren't working, he kept trying them. He had a couple turnovers in his own half because of that, but I like that about him. I really think his role for this cup is offensive supersub and his workrate on defense would help there as well with the leading team trying to hold possession.

You guys need to lighten up. All novastar said was Freddy can get better and that he's not near the lost cause that many had been describing before this move.

What's the point of having the thread if it's only allowed to be a one-sided conversation?

I didn't use that word. You did.

Instead of fine-tuning your sarcasm, you could try engaging novastar and talk about the instances he thought were below Adu's best, counter those with what you thought were his best, and evaluate his game.

Might help get that word out of your head ;)

You act like your this middle-ground poster, with your little neutral posts here and there. But your not, your not fooling anybody. In fact, your so bad at it its comical.

The original post wasent even directed to you..... So stop budding in to get your "fanboy" thoughts out. Nobody says "You guys" to a single poster, without an agenda.

Good to see that Adu threads can still turn to poo even when he is playing and scoring goals.
