They will enter in the knockout stages, after the group stage is over, which means the two worst second place teams will be eliminated to make room for them.

Chivas will be seeded 13th and San Luis 14th, which is the seeding they had earned last year. So that means Chivas will play the 4th best first place team, and San Luis will play the 3rd best first place team.

Colon is hanging on with 10 men. Catolica needs a goal to send it to penalties and two goals to advance directly.

And now Catolica scores a beautiful goal and with seven minutes left it could go to penalties. Colon's goalie has already stopped one penalty. But Catolica is attacking and they want to end it in regular time.

Unlucky for Colon. Goal for Catolica after a non existent foul called.

Pozo should have done better there.

Maradona already has a crush on Pozo, if he saves this PK shoot out for Colon I'm sure he's going to South Africa.

Los goles que se perdio la Catolica...

I think the Chilean team was better over the two matches. But now it's up to the penalties.

I hope not. He's good when he gets hot, but I don't think he's ready for the NT.

Well he already played against Catalunya and supposedly is being considered along with a few others for the 3rd keeper spot. If he comes up big here his name probably moves to the top of the list.

That goalie took three steps forward. That save should not have counted.

Yeah, it was a homer call. But that comes with the territory. Universidad Catolica advances to the group stage.

You never know what's gonna happen with Torres. The playoff was very even, if Catolica was superior in both games it definitely wasn't by much. It's rather worrying the lack of depth in the attack of Catolica.

Looking forward to the clasico against U de Chile in the group stage.

Also, it's been 3 years in a row (including this one) that the 3rd rated Chilean team has made it to the group stages.
