Kaboul is cup tied, Iceman is seemingly a month away from match fit.

    -------------Gomes
    Hutton--Dawson--Bassong--Bale
    Bentley--Hudds--Palacios--Kranjcar
    --------Striker--Striker---------

Depending on which striker is still here after the window is closed, I expect 1 of the striker who stayed to start.

PS: Can anyone teach me how do you use the formation thing?

Start up top working from L to R, then take the spaces out in the tags and you're set!

I'd like to see Pav get a start if he's still with us.

    Not sure what to expect.

If the team bothers to concentrate for 90 minutes we'll win, if they get sloppy we've seen Leeds are capable of taking advantage.

Erm, no Modric? Him instead of Niko, otherwise I'd go along Akron's team. I know Modric didn't do too well against them last time but we can't afford to leave that kind of creativity on the bench. We need clever passes to cut through a massed defence. I expect the team to take care of business. Leeds have had their moment.

Hope the travelling yids stay safe.

I was more or less figuring on 'Arry keeping Modric for the big one at the weekend v Villa. It's what I'd do.

[LINEUP-4-4-2]Defoe, Pavlyuchenko, Modric, Palacios, Hudds, Bentley, Bale, Bassong, Dawson, Corluka, Gomes[/LINEUP-4-4-2]

The boys are going to have to play three times in a week and like it. We have to take this game as seriously as the league as I think City and Chelsea are the only teams left in it that can challenge us if we play our full-strength team.

Why isn't the formation showing the players? I put it in like this....

[tag]Defoe, Pavlyuchenko, Modric, Palacios, Hudds, Bentley, Bale, Bassong, Dawson, Corluka, Gomes[/tag]

Looks like Pav is out injured. No striker on the bench?

I was looking forward to the possibility of Pavlyuchenko playing today, but it looks like he is still recovering from his groin injury. Hopefully Gudjohnsen will get his first chance to play this Saturday against Villa.

On top of his groin injury Lennon now also has a hernia problem that could require surgery. :(

Starting to worry about Lennon for the World Cup now :(

Never heard of this Harry Kane geezer. Is Obika out on loan? If not he'd be my first choice as a striker sub.

I'm hopeful. They will be optimistic being at home, but Defoe will catch them on the break. We need to avoid goalmouth scrambles, like their first goal in the first leg. With their lack of quality up front that is their best hope of scoring. No nonsense from the defenders.

My "friend" just told me he put $50 on Spurs to lose at 4-1 odds. What a prick.
