This is sort of exciting. There is decent talent in Moldova (everyone saw Sheriff play in the CL this year), and I've seen some good Moldavian players in RPL (Stanislav looked good in limited action for Loko this year before being shipped to Samara just this season.) As soon as you can release the names, please do.

There's an 23-year-old Mijlocaş named Alexei Casian who plays for Dinamo Bender in Moldova.

Rats, beaten out by Kuhn after looking for my pic. Igor Costrov appears to be a midfielder most recently with Maccabi Herzliya in Israel.

Not far off actually. I think it depends on who writes the names anyway...

It wouldn't surprise me if they are one in the same player anyways, just a matter of who is spelling it.

Will depend on if its a European vs North American translation and into what language its being translated ... really all one and the same, when your name is written using Cyrillic characters its pretty well botched in our Western European latin based alphabet. Mao Tse Tung vs Moa Zedong, Tsar vs Tzar vs Czar ... Предраг Радосављевић vs Um Preki

Birahim Diop was our trialist X in the game this past weekend according to Hillcrest. He played the metros in 2001-02 apparently, under Zambrano.

If it's the same guy, there's an Ibrahim Diop playing in Luxemborg for FC Differdange 03.

Judging by the lineups today for the game against San Jose I'm going to guess that both Walker and Crayton are gone now that we've signed Nielsen and that Hannigan and Horwath are still there competing with Pardo (and potentially Kronberg) to be the back up.

5 more waived from the preseason roster, 4 of them were trialists.
Defenders Nick Cardenas, Rich Costanzo, Chris Gbandi and goalkeepers Ian Walker and Patrick Hannigan.

    All but Cardenas were trialists.
