The Dynamo has posted part of their Spring training schedule on their website, http://www.mlsnet.com/t200/schedule/2010/preseason.jsp Hopefully I can make all the scrimmages. I was supposed to go to my sister's on Feb 6, but we'll see. I think I can get out of it. The STH thing seems a little lame, since it sounds like the one the week before that was free, we'll see if they add something to it. And the Austin trip could be fun, but I hope it's late enough that we can get there after work. Notice the stadium has changed, it's on Shoal Creek, which is farther and harder to get to from Houston, especially on a Friday evening. Not to mention driving home afterwards. It's getting close, finally....!!!!!!

Re: Preseason is Coming!!! Well, I did forget to post the part where they said that since the second half of the preseason is still up in the air, they wouldn't release that schedule yet. So hopefully the best is yet to come. And don't we usually play people like SanJac and HBU early in the preseason? It also said the times are approximate, so take them with a grain of salt. There are some rules for the training events too, so you should check out the website. My internet has been really screwed up lately so it's hard to get this posted right.... sorry.
Re: Preseason is Coming!!! I imagine that there could be additions to even this portion of the schedule as time passes. It seems to me that a number of the friendlies (SJ, FCD, etc) weren't scheduled until 2-3 weeks before they occurred.
Re: Preseason is Coming!!! Regarding Austin: - House park is much better than where they were last year. The turf is newer & better. (Still plastic, small, and unacceptable by my standards but relative to Nelson Field last year it is better.) - It really ain't that much further once you've driven 150 minutes. I think I can speak of experience on this. - Watering hole options close by are strong. Get pregame eats/drinks at either the Tavern, Shoal Creek Saloon, or Austin Java (last one for the coffee over alcohol lot). All are walking distance. - This is a close to downtown urban stadium. Should be a much improved experience.
Re: Preseason is Coming!!! Yea, the pictures of it looked nice and from the photo I saw I thought it had grass until I read about it. But I was talking more about traffic, I really thought Nelson field was easy to get to. Other than that, it pretty much stank.

Re: Preseason is Coming!!! The Dynamo - Aztex game is back at Nelson according to the Austin board. Construction of locker rooms is running behind. They have delayed the move to House until May at the earliest. Other than the great location, I never thought House was going to be an improvement. It is an old, bare bones high school stadium with the same field turf installed roughly the same time as Nelson. And the field is even narrower. Unless you planned to go partying on 6th street after the game, Nelson is easier to get in and out of from Houston.

Hopefully Landin can lose 10 pounds ( can anyone confirmed if he loose those weight )..I can't picture landin struggle to keep up the speed...Oduro - I am not sure..he better improved on his ball control..I like to see Danny Cruz more playing time..and Dom should start giving Tally Hall (GK ) some MLS action..
Re: Preseason is Coming!!! Dunno. Pat had great numbers last year with no sign of his age showing. I think Dom will use Pat until he needs a break (if we get a bad schedule stretch...which we will) or starts to suck. Without CCL, for a change (that's really weird...), Tally may be screwed a bit in that department. Sad because he was so freaking impressive last year
