Well, Boquita starts its run in this Clausura this afternoon at la Paternal.

    Probable formation:

    [lineup-4-3-3]Roman,Palermo,Gaitan,Erbes,Medel,Mendez,Morel,Paletta,Muñoz,Ibarra,Pato[/lineup-4-3-3]

So Caceres is dropped? Is this going to be a permanent change? I gotta say it's a change that I like, except that Munoz did not exactly inspire a great deal of confidence in me either.
Also, I hope Erbes does a little better on the left than he did on the right. Who would be on the bench?

Another question for you guys. Realistically, where does Boca need to end up in the standings this term to ensure a spot in the next Libertadores? I know it's dependant on other teams also but best guess would be appreciated.

Caceres is playing in Brazil. It's going to be Munoz, Paletta and the Colombian Bonilla alternating in central defense.

I am glad to see Medel as DM, I think that is his best position.

    So it begins...

    VAMOS BOCA!!!

Jesus that's bad. I'd rather see Monzon play LB and move Morel to the middle.

Let's just win the torneo and make it easy:D The Caceres move is one I'm happy with since he just seemed to lose the plot. I also thanked g-d that Rosada was benched with Medel playing the #5. With riber losing to start the torneo, I've got a very good feeling about today.

Did not know that Caceres had moved on. I gotta say that I'm cool with that.
Ditto. Although when Bonilla played, he did not exactly embarass himself.

It would be nice indeed if Boca ended up at the top, where it belongs. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Medel >>>>>>>>Rosada of course. But like mentioned above, I'd like to see Monzon start at LB and have Morel partner Paletta inside.

    Wouldn't that be nice?!

Sloppy defending again to start off the game. Pato has come up big. If I'm an opposing coach facing my team, I would instruct my team to launch balls into the box every time they cross midfield. Boca simply does not defend well in the air.

I think we just don't defend well period at the moment. Some of the errors are just sloppy mistakes you expect to see school boys make. Seems to me that we are leaving huge gaps which are being exploited. Mendez likes to get stuck in though which is great to see, prefer having Medel in the middle also, and having Roman back is a big bonus.

EDIT; Get in Palermo son, you Legend.

And the old man finds a way to score. I gotta say though that the play has been worrisome so far. Boca has not gotten into a passingrhythm at all. Has Roman completed a pass to either Palermo or Gaitan yet?

Still, better to be up by one.

Yeah the passing hasn't really got going yet, I will give Roman the benefit of the doubt as he has ben out for ages and probably isn't match sharp as of yet. Would like to se Gaitan be a bit more involved he is so dangerous when he turns and runs at people. If we can cut out these silly lapses in concentration, and string together a couple of passes we should do well.

Is it just me, or did I just see Roman run down a guy after he lost the ball?

Is it that Boca no longer practices defending dead ball situations? Holy crap! It's a pretty embarassing situation.

Can you believe that shit? Defending set pieces really helps, I swear it does.

    Set pieces again.

Why is Rosada on the pitch? Stupid idea to take off Gaitan and bring him on.

Erbes was invisible for the entire match. How the quality has gone down from the days of Datolo, Ledesma, and Vargas.
