is a bit better than ARE YOU WITH US ? But sadly not catchy enough....sometimes I wonder if is there ( at the FO ) any marketting departament
I kinda like how they're attacking hockey, but unfortunately this is marketed towards women. I'm guessing they'll have one geared towards men centering around rough play Will they use the Nick Garcia bloody pic? "Are you with us?" wasn't bad for the first season... ...but this is way better than "What's a..."
Maybe I'm being overly critical, but upon looking again, the "QUAKES" on the first picture looks like it came straight out of Microsoft Paint.
Actually it was just faxed back and forth a bunch of times. ...but yes, I could put all that together in microsoft paint. I'm a wizard at it!
Well, I guess they decided not to focus advertising around individual players this year. Too bad. I was hoping that maybe they'd branch out in terms of the types of "questions" in the slogans. For example, "Which Eduardo"? "Why Convey"? "Watch Opara"?
It looks like that will be this year's marketing campaign. But it also looks like they downsized their graphics department. Here's what I got via email.
I like "are you with us" the best. I don't like this one too much, kinda gimmicky. I don't understand why "feel that" is bigger than "did you." Also, an earthquake that makes you say "did you feel that?" is probably not a very powerful one. Way to sound intimidating.
LMAO! ...They really didn't have to diss my guy Ovechkin like that though , but good for them to recognize he's the best in the Sport and not that punk Crosby.
marleau has more goals than crosby and ovechkin I don't know a lot about the law. Are they allowed to use someone's image like that in an ad campaign?
If you have to ask, "did you feel that?"...then it wasn't very big. At least...that's what my girlfriend told me on our 4th date.
I agree. This is a big improvment over last year's. I liked Are You With Us? However "Did you feel that?" does harken more to the Earthquake name.
I think y'all are being a little overly critical. The emphasis on "FEEL THAT" makes it sound like something that surprised the heck out of you. And "feel" is actually a little bit of a provocative word by American puritanical standards. Provocative is good, generally. They need to tie the phrase into the pictures a little better though. A photo of RJ, waist up, running, doesn't really do it. Maybe a photo of him flying into the goal to head the ball into the net and some kind of Richter scale graphic overlaid on top would be better.
I like it. As an advertising major right now, it would be a dream job to get on with the Quakes. Maybe for a project this year I'll do my own and post it here.
Exactly, except make the Richter scale thing smaller and overlay on the RJ photo, maybe at the bottom, on the ground.
