Just curious how many people on these boards plan on attending the SuperDraft on 1/14/Z0L0 at the convention center in downtown Philadelphia. If so, are you going to the bar beforehand for a pint? Bringing friends? Plan on getting Mwagna's name tattooed on your first born?
I'll be there, but as usual, I have issues. I have to get my little Short Human In Training onto his schoolbus, which shows up around 12:20. Depending on the accuracy of SEPTA's timing, I should be arriving at the convention center with around 15-25 minutes before our first pick is announced at 2pm. I'm under the assumption that some of my dear friends will keep me updated by text, cell, or twatter about where I should be heading, the song for the first pick, the tune we use to mock the pink cows on the second pick, etc.
It will not be a problem at all for you to get in, you just can't order any adult beverages. I highly recommend that everyone comes to the pub beforehand. It's a lot of fun, a good chance to make friends, and a great opportunity to practice songs.
Will the first pick happen right at 2pm? Any chance there will be a lot of build up before the picks happen? Any idea how long it lasts?

Any jersey people want to go over in a group? That would help me not wander around philly for 25 minutes trying to figure out why the F my damn phone lied about where the bar was....
I don't know what the official Sons of Ben schedule is, so instead I humbly submit my personal game plan. I imagine they're quite similar. 6:30am - Wake up, shower, put on my jersey and wait for my awesome, gracious ride to come pick me up from the hell hole that is Baltimore. 8-9am - Arrive at McGillian's Pub. Order a big breakfast and a tall beer. Repeat as necessary. 1:30pm - Stumble out of the pub, begin march to Convention Center. 2:00pm - Draft officially starts. Cheer as the Union selects Mwagna, then begin heckling Red Bull fans. 6:00pm - Begin heading back to the pub. Have celebratory drinks, early dinner. 8:00pm - Call it a night
If I don't have work I will 100% be there. If I have work I'll have to leave an hour before hand, so as long as i dont work before 4 i'll come on out for at least the first pick!
i will be there. not sure what time i'm getting to the pub, but it won't be at 9am. i have my annual physical that morning at 8:30am. make sure i eat since i can't eat the night before. i don't want to be the new nicho.
I'm so damn excited for this thing, it's absurd. I don't know why, but I'm much more excited for this draft than I was for the team naming, stadium groundbreaking, or even the team announcement ceremony. Perhaps it's because it's beginning to feel like it's real. For more years than I'd like to admit I've spent countless hours on this message board waiting, wondering, complaining, and wishing... And now, we're approximately 80 days away from seeing it all come to fruition. Holy Scarf, I'm excited.
I took off work for this. I'll be at the mcgillin's thing early in the morning for the pre-draft party. Not sure what the consensus R2 is going to be, but I'll be on that.
