He's a '93 from Riverside, California that was just called into the USYNT U-18 camp in California. http://www.ussoccer.com/News/U-18-M...amp-Underway-as-U18-MNT-Train-at-The-HDC.aspx He's listed under the Tigres U-17s as Juan Pablo Ocegueda, not sure why there a mix up with the name. http://www.tigres.com.mx/Club/FuerzasBasicas/sub17.aspx
Re: Pueblo Ocegueda at Tigres I got this guy on my list as Juan Pablo Ocegueda de Albo. He'll show up when I do my first early 2010 update.
Re: Pueblo Ocegueda at Tigres He's doing quite well these days The 2013 U20 team could have a couple good left backs in Ocegueda and Sean Cunningham. Interesting. Anyway, he's an interview with Ocegueda out today. OCEGUEDA ON THE RISE AT TIGRES
Re: Pueblo Ocegueda at Tigres Cool. The U-20 camps before the World Cup should be interesting to see if either Cunningham or this kid can earn a spot over Garza or Hernandez.
Re: Pueblo Ocegueda at Tigres Thanks. Pablo's a nice local kid with a ton of talent. Hope he makes it.
Re: Pueblo Ocegueda at Tigres Nice article, by the way. Once again I can't rep you as my rep can't keep up with your posts. It is still appreciated.
Re: Pueblo Ocegueda at Tigres You would know better than I but thought Cunningham had been playing CB at Molde?
Re: Pueblo Ocegueda at Tigres He played a bit of CB early in Molde's preseason but he's a LB by nature.
Re: Pueblo Ocegueda at Tigres You'd think with Pueblo for a first name he'd have signed with a different team.
Re: Pueblo(Pablo) Ocegueda at Tigres Why do most of the threads about hispanic players have the names spelled wrong?
Re: Pueblo Ocegueda at Tigres Ocegueda has a shot at making his professional debut in the 2-leg qualifying round for Copa Libertadores. He is on the 25 man roster along with fellow YAs Bornstein and Garza. As an added bonus the timing of these matches prevents his inclusion in the Mexico U-20 NT camp.
Re: Pueblo Ocegueda at Tigres http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2012/02/19/gringo-report-ocegueda-chooses-us-over-mexico Choosing USA over Mexico this is my kind of guy. Go USA.
Re: Pueblo Ocegueda at Tigres I th he's already won a few fans. Wait he's a left footed back and he snubbed Mexico? Already a fan favorite.
Re: Pueblo Ocegueda at Tigres New interview at YA on playing for the US over MExico as well as his prospects at Tigres OCEGUEDA EXCITED FOR US FUTURE
Here's another article on JPO: A rising star in Tigres’ youth system, the Riverside-born Ocegueda had the chance to play for Mexico’s Under-20 national team. Accepting the call would have meant a lot to his Mexican parents, but it also would have meant turning his back on the U.S. Under-20 national team, for whom he’d already played. While it was not simple, Ocegueda ultimately made his choice. http://www.pe.com/sports/soccer/soc...er-riverside-born-player-sticks-with-u.s..ece
