most likely metzelder is going to be sold, since he has started less than a handful of games(in all competitions) and it seems he is not even in MP's radar, im happy with garay and he does a decent to good job(but we would still need a backup.....)
but u r right though, some fans/media blow the situation too much

drenthe was a dissapointment last season as LWB, he had a good performance vs milan but after that he completly faded
but his one of those players that if he leaves madrid and gets regular time he would be succesful

there was speculation of him leaving
and we buy the LB from fiorentina, there were other players as well, maicon as well if i remembered correctly

The consensus among Bayern fans is Badstuber and Van Buyten to start as CB's while Demichelis as cover (if he continues his horrible form of the past year). Badstuber is doing fine out left but it would be nice to have two solid attacking fullbacks there.

Breno and Braafheid are cover but Breno is supposedly going to be loaned out. I don't the Bayern will go after Metzelder since there is no need and I would agree with them.

    I have faith in Pellegrini.

I think Van Gaal will eventually get through to his players.

I don't see how this current Porto team would eliminate Le Arse.

I have a feeling we may be able to get through Chelsea. That maybe just me, though. :)

    have you seen porto lately?
as for madrid i have faith in him too, but its too early to say who is going to win
the same applies to every match
inter does have an advantage, and that is mou knows how chelsea plays(strenghts/weaknesses) and im pretty sure he knows a way to counter that
i would actually like to see chelsea win this year, since this is possibly the last year they have a real good chance to win, the average age is getting close to 30
as for inter i would like to see them win in the near future

Yea, I have seen Porto lately: they currently lie 3rd in a very weak Portuguese league. There is generally only 4 strong teams there each year, one of which is ass this season: Sporting. So it's basically down to Braga, Benfica or Porto. And their CL group was not exactly "badass", either: a very bad/weak Aleti side and a Cypriot first-timer.

i meant their games, i can see what you mean, but just like RM, they sold and bought alot of players, porto is only going to get better, RM as well
i dont see arsenal getting any better, or for that matter any signs of improvement(they had bad luck with injuries), they have the players and at times they play like their on top, but surely its not going to be easy or a walkover for either team

Excellent final between Barcelona and Estudiantes. Estudiantes did an excellent job of shifting their players to whatever side the ball was on and pressing them as well. This forced a lot of long balls for Barca and they had trouble even getting shots on goal. The first goal for Barca was luck while the second one was a superb cross to Messi who proved again why he is the best in the planet. Messi CHESTED the ball in...wow. Estudiantes had like 1-2 good chances all game and they scored off it. Props to Barca, they deserved it.

Wow! Catania just stuck a dagger in the heart of Juve. An absolutely terrific counter-attack goal against the run of play in the 85th minute. Juve just lost 2-1 at home to the lowest team on the table. What a terrific way to end the year if Inter can get 3 points today against Lazio! We would be 8 points up on Milan, and 9 clear of Juventus!

Ferrara wont get sacked if he does not get them relegated or he losses 10 matches in a row.

Real on the other hand is looking very good, they keep it simple and efficient. Passing is starting to look very sharp and once they get the ball they are always looking for the kill unlike Barca who tend to overcomplicate things with there search for a perfect goal. They are very mobile and shod be considered very seriously this season. They can get only better and are already looking very strong.

& we have accomplished that in all but six months! isnt awesome!
we still got room to improve

btw, goal.com made an article of who inter should buy, along with other big teams
for me it was mostly a hit and miss article

I've missed two of the last 5 Real matches but they definitely have improved. I have to say VDV is proving his worth.

    Alberto Zaccheroni in for Juve.

My personal opinion is they went from bad to unbelievably bad. They have serious management problems.

After this I presume they will have a big battle for europa league because I don't see them finishing in top 4 with this guy. Not that I care, karma is a bitch they are paying for there crimes!:p

    :D

Unless Zaccheroni can work a miracle I see Juventus finishing outside the top 5 easily.

Napoli, Palermo, Fiorentina, Roma, and Milan are teams that can finish in front of them.

I see Roma, Milan, and Fiorentina finishing in front of them. I am curious to see if Napoli and Palermo crumble come crunch time, but so far they are doing fairly well.

And quick question bibo: Why Inter and not Milan? I know it might seem stupid, but a lot of Croats and Serbs are more fan of AC because of Savicevic and Boban.

    Any particular reason?

I just like the history a lot more, plus I liked Mattheus as a kid.

fiorentina is 3 points behind juve and are in a crummy run atm, i would agree with roma, milan , napoli, and palermo lost to 4-2 to BARI!!! bari is tied with genoa with 32 pts

In the past three years there has always been a challenger for the fourth spot and the favorite always got it even though it didn't look likely to happen. The biggest case was Genoa last season... thus, as bad as Juventus and Fiorentina are currently, history usually tells the story and these challengers usually crumble at the end.

I am not saying they are not good teams.. but I hoped Genoa would take fourth last year and they just crumbled at the most important point after having a good run.

Personally I see Inter, Milan, Roma, Juventus finishing in the top 4.

I explained it in NSR thread, main reason was Ronaldo and the fact that as you pointed out everybody else loved Milan or Juve so lets just say I love pissing people up, so in time I come to love them and it just stuck with me when Ronaldo left.
