When i get into a game, everything else tends to fall away for months... COD:WaW did that last year, I still play it in 3-4 hour blocks over weekends... So I am not surprised to be stressed about 2 calender spots that are booked: Nov. 10th -17th (MW2 and Assassin's Creed 2) - I am sure most are aware of it (Left 4 Dead 2 comes out then as well, but I am not a big fan) Jan. 26- Feb. 9 (Mass Effect 2, Lost Planet 2, Dante's Inferno, Bioshock 2) - Just found this one out the other day --- so to say my hands will be tied is putting it mildly... both MW2 and LP2 are multiplayer games that need time put in online or embarassment follows... the others are SP that can be done on my own time... I think my choices will be 1st - MW2 and 2nd - AC2 for the first group but I may have to take a month off for the other 4, because i don't know how to fit all that in... maybe i will just hope for one or more of them to be delayed on the release, thus causing me to curse, but ultimately be able to schedule them better... thoughts?
I feel you. It seems like the normal MO is to cluster the super-titles around this time (they make good Xmas presents!). In addition to MW2 and AC2 (both titles I want), today is the release of DJ Hero. Dec 8th is when Sabateur comes out. Spread out a little bit compared to MW2 and AC2, but still - that's a lot of promising-looking titles in a very short window. 2 weeks after Dante's Inferno (Xbox's "answer" to God of War?) and BioShock 2 is Splinter Cell: Conviction. It sucks, but what are you going to do? It's certainly better than the alternative - not enough good games coming out. I'm going to use my $20 Amazon credit from preordering MW2 to justify buying AC2 the next week. After that, I'm probably on a game-buying hiatus until BioShock 2. The high cost of DJ Hero means that I'm probably going to have to wait for the cost to come down (I didn't get on the Rock Band wagon until RB2), or hope I get it for Xmas. They had a demo set up at Best Buy yesterday, and it was actually pretty fun.
Games coming out in the next 3 months that I'll certainly buy: Force unleashed - sith edition, MW2, Assassin's creed 2 and Mass effect 2 (looking forward to that one as much as the rest combined ).
When's the new super mario brothers game come out? sure, in the time it took to type that I could've googled it, but now it's too late. I'm committed. I've come too far.
Isn't Dante's Inferno out on the PS3 too? I'm looking forward to getting that game. Though I think it's supposed to be out in February or so. Which means to a cheapskate like me, it'll be February of 2011 when I get it.
My big game surge started last week with FIFA10 continued to this week with Forza3 and Ballad of Gay Tony; I get one week of no purchases and then its MW2 and ends with AC2. I like to rationalize it by telling myself that these are my games for the first part of winter. MW2 is my MP, Forza3/FIFA10 are for a change of pace when playing friends in MP, and AC2/Ballad of Gay Tony are the single player games. I do wish I had the patience to hold off on buying games I want when they come out close together though. I know come Summer time I am always looking for a good new game to play but nothing is ever released in that period. Of course if the rumored release of FFXIII in June is true I won't have that problem this year.
in planning on getting call of duty and dragon age origins when it comes out im still on the fence on either fifa or pes but i will get one going to hold off on assasins creed till a slight price drop or get a used one i loved the first one but i can wait on that title in the future im planning on getting god of war maybe dantes inferno ffxiii gran turismo when it comes out
I have a lot of games I want to buy, but I'll probably Gamefly a lot of them beforehand. AC2 is a gameflye'r, as is Dante's Inferno, and Demon Souls. None of them have proven to be great in my eyes. MW2 is a buy, Pro Evo I'll probably buy, and maybe DJ Hero.
I've just bought PES 2010 and Forza 3. With MW2 incoming and my hectic schedule I am going to have to call it quits at that until we hit the middle of December and my holiday period.

So i got AC2 from Gamefly on Friday but just can't seem to removed MW2 from the xbox... i have thought it was doing it a few times, but then just had to hit up the MP even more...
Some of us were briefly talking about this in a MP lobby last night/this morning. I haven't touched Forza 3 since MW2 came out and, worse still, I bought Mirror's Edge between them and have played it once. It looks like I will need to add quite a few games to my 'when I have more free time' list.
