I couldn't find the old thread, so I made a new one.

It was just announced that Vitali Klitshchko is going to be fighting Kevin Johnson. I had never heard of Kevin Johnson before but I checked out a clip on youtube, and the guy looks like he will be an interesting opponent for Vitali. He appears to be a slower paced, strategic boxer as opposed to Arreola (Vitali's last opponent) who was an all-out brawler.

    G, you have an opinion?

Vitya will kill him, we all know it.

btw, Fedor vs. Rogers in Hoffman Estates, Illinois on the 7th. Me and a couple of my guys MIGHT go, but I don't want to pay 75 $ to see a crappy fight card then have Fedor kill Rogers in 30 seconds. Probably going to watch it on CBS at a bar.

That's what I'm doing. Why pay for a free fight?

Kevin Johnson is a smallish heavy without much power (as his low KO ratio would suggest). He is a cutie, not unlike Chris Byrd. But younger, of course.

The only way Vitali can lose to this guy is by hurting himself.

Vitali Klitshchko will not lose until Arreola comes back around.

Well it's a 45 min drive from Chicago and it's Fedor. I'll probably end up not going though, card is too weak, Fedor or no Fedor.

If you can see it live, see it live.

I disagree. Unless you have ringside seats, you get a much better view on your large screen TV. My girl is into boxing, so I go to those types of events quite often. I'll take watching a boxing match from the comfort of my living room any day over struggling to see from the cheap seats.

Anyway, about Fedor and Rogers....I wouldn't discount Rogers. The guy looks like he's poised for a bright future amongst the heavy weights, whether he wins or loses against Fedya. If he fought Brock Lesnar, I wouldn't know on whom to place my money.

Fair enough. I don't go to these events very often, but from going to other events (hockey, baseball, football), watvhing it live is more fun.

My friend was supposedly going to get hooked up with tickets, I guess supposedly means finding out there are still general admission tickets available for $75, lol, no way am I going.

Its on CBS? wow, that means HD for me, hell yea saving money and drinking beers at home on Sat. with friends. I got laid off 2 weeks ago so I gotta cut back spending anyway, this is a good way I suppose ;)

Rogers, at best, has a puncher's chance. I'm sorry, but this fight is over the moment it hits the ground - which Fedya is more than capable of making it do with relative ease.

Thats not a joke. Arreola will be much improved by another two years in the circuit, and by a better fitness program.

But Heavyweights are boring anyways. The middleweight classes are very exciting right now. Plus I always fought in the middle classes, and every once in a great while someone who I fought makes it to TV (rather this has happened once, and the fight ended in the middle 2nd, with me on my back wondering who I was).

I disagree dude, I don't see the skill set on Arreola when compared to Vitaly and Vlad.

That's because, it's not there. He has no defense and no balance.

Feodr is superior in all attributes apart from size and power. It going to take a mega shot for Rogers to win this fight and if he somehow does then it would badly hurt MMA's image.

Machida-Shogun tonight, I'm a fan of both fighters and something tells me that this will be a very technical slow paced fight.

Fedor-Rogers this Saturday. If Rogers somehow manages to win this I think it'll be safe to say that MMA is one big joke.

Hahahahaha, I know. He sung on nat'l tv at his own going away party, lol, that's how much of a monopoly he is over there. You think Cotto can win?

    No.

I like Cotto, my coach was from Puerto Rico, so I have a soft spot for the Puerto Rican fighters, but the only fighter on the face of the planet near class that has a shot against Pacman is Maywether... and I don't think he even has a shot.

Pacman has the fastest hands ever.
