Today, Jimmy Rollins told reporters that the Phils would win in five.

First thing I thought when I saw that was Freddy Mitchell calling out Rodney Harrison before the super bowl, and we all know how that turned out...

Those in Philly...is there a chance that God will try to stop the Phillies from even starting the World Series this time? Looks like rain...trying to make plans and wondering if it willbe postponed.

Rollins will pop up to set the tone.

Not only that but tonight's game will be delayed, we will be up until 1 AM just to see the loss. Unless Bud Selig reverses course and grants the mercy rule.

I heard they are canceling the WS and just handing the pennant over to the Wankers tonight. All the Phillies have come down with a new strain of the flu ... Game1N1.

No, they'll play in the rain. The wet will make the bat fly out of Ryan Howard's hands on his first at-bat and give Jimmy Rollins, at first base, a season-ending concussion. Out of guilt, Howard will bunt for every at-bat for the rest of the series.

It's very obvious that the Yankees sent in their "stand-ins" because they didn't want to get wet last night. It was a nice gesture, but now the real players will show up tonight and it'll be Yanks in 5.

Captain Obvious statement of the night by the FOX announcers:

"Both teams have won seven games to get here."

    Really? No shit.

Well, at least the only game we'll win in this series made the 1950 team feel better. Sadly, that game by Lee was once in a lifetime, he'll get shelled in the deciding game five and we will forget all about his masterpiece.

I still say Yanks in 4. There's got to be some loophole that they'll exploit.

Well I think we know who Pedro's daddy is now. His name is AJ Burnett.

Thankfully the Phillies we all know and (dis)like showed up last night. Way to not let us down, fellas.

Anyone that had confidence yesterday, can you shut the eff up now? We're going down like a fat girl in Bill Clinton's office (or like W's IQ since he was born)

Hmm, well I had hope to start and then I stopped allowing myself to think that way because of this thread and then we lost. So I think I'm going back to hopeful. :p
