Well, this will go the long-haul I imagine. But there are things that don't really make sense regardless.

First image: Diego and Bilardo crying together. What?
After all that was said in the media? After the burst-ups of Diego threatening to leave if his demands are not met. Later denying it?

The press has reported insider info that the actors wanted to make public. Leaked. To place pressure on the opposite side. That Diego was angry at Bilardo and wanted him far away from him.

Well, there are only two possible scenarios. That Diego completely loses it when he is under medication or under the influence of ... or that indeed the Doc has made Diego an Oscar winning actor.

Well my nightmare inclines to the 2nd.

There is no one as cabulero as el Doc. There is even a thought for a friendly game at Ramat Gan against Israel before the WC ... just as right before WC86 and WC90.

So ... could the machiavelic brain of the Doc convinced the "sick" brain of Diego to act/make-up/invent a problem inside the NT? For the press to bite for it and now CREATE the enemy in the press? Just as in '85 and beyond?

I have commented that it was Bilardo handling the initial "operation erase Roman". His incoherent, telex style responses to it.

If this is indeed true, as my nightmare bluepinted, we are coming across one of the brightest brains we could encounter in football. Half a step away from total mental disorder.

Unfortunately, regardless of all this speculation, the team played really bad most of the time. This mess dragged some of the atention away from it. Even in victory, as it was last Wedenesday's win in Montevideo.

When I woke up I came to realize anything is possible in Bilardo's head. Anything ... even to think that the players will play with much more pride and anger to prove everyone else wrong. Press and public opinion. Just as in 86 ...

Sos un genio, pibe. Vengo pensando lo mismo hace un tiempo. Es mas esta llegaria a pensar que todo esto es una pantalla de humo para convencer al mundo que estamos para el orto, y cuando llegue el mundial les rompamos el culo.

If it is indeed sleight of hand, then it's one worthy of Houdini or Penn-Teller. Amazing trick to fool us all.

Yeah, the frame of mind appears to be the same. Only problem is, Diego won't be playing.

Huge difference between 86 and 10.

Diego speaks too much but unfortunately he tells what he feels at the moment. Later on, when he changes his mind, he says something else. Unfortunately he's not allowed the priviledge of changing his mind, like most of us do.

Diego can change his mind all he wants, we saw that all through the past year with selections, formations, tactics........but seriously why would you make a comment that no player is going to be able to live up to? "Messi es mi Maradona"......much too high of a bar to set for anyone.

Bilardo ... wants to knock Grondona to take over AFA.

(Daniel Vila is owner of America and La Red)

Grondona wants to knock Diego for Bilardo, thru Blatter.
    http://www.ole.clarin.com/notas/2009/10/23/informaciongeneral/02025088.html

Basile and his Corlenesque group of friends filmed by the GdM team at La Raya ... sarcastically answering the reporter that no one called him to thank him for the 16 pts. "16 points ... they all said we played bad, no analysis, they just care for the results (telephone Bilardist press)." First time that his sarcasm, cuddled by his closest friends presence, shoots at how he saw the boycott (camita sounds better thou) ... yet he will take with him his reasons ...

Where will this end? It is the most abnormal situation that I can recall in the Argentine NT.

ALL is a time bomb indeed ... I blame one person and only one. Having Bilardo anywhere near the Ezeiza predio. Isn't he in the middle of every conflict? Medicine can thank football for not having him around, as Menotti would say ...

Wait i thought Grondona was fine with what Maradona said? and he wants Mancusso around as well? whats the deal here he wants Maradna out as the manager? i also heard that FIFA might suspend Diego for the entire WC tournament because of some major TV stations and other forms of press pressuring the situation!

I don't get it, If Grondona doesn't like Diego, he can just fire him? Grondona isn't accountable to anyone at all, I don't see why he can't just do what he wants.

Because this is WHAT HE WANTS. I've been telling you this for months now. Grondona is the GODFATHER of FIFA and he does what he wants. Having Maradona as coach is all part of a even bigger plan.

Like I said enjoy the ride.

What is this bigger plan that Grondona has and how does having Maradona as DT fit in?

The initial speculation was that Maradona would bring in more fans. The Russian company that runs Argentina's friendlys most likely pressured for the naming of Diego as coach.

Not just América and La Red, Grupo UNO, kinda like a Grupo Clarín, but smaller. He's also the president of Club Sportivo Independiente Rivadavia, currently in the argentine second division, that club that signed Ortega on loan last season.

In reality the problem is that Vila through the media is bombing Maradona to get him fired, because Maradona didn't want to side him to take down Grondona, notice that the media mainly talks about of a confrontation between Maradona and Bilardo, but they don't mention Vila even though Maradona talked about him. As Vila isn't liked by a big part of AFA it could be a reason of why they're siding with Maradona.

By the way NYC_COSMOS, the russian enterprise doesn't matter anymore AFA is done with them.

It was known that something was and is going to happen? What coach in the world, especially one that coaches a NT, is not allowed to have the people that he wants as his assistants. Diego for one. He's had to work with people he didnt choose for the assistant role and people that are with him because they are loyal to him (Mancuso), not because they have merits to be there. Mancuso at one point when Maradona was being questioned constantly even offered Diego his resignation.

Either way, we are going to see some interesting changes which are going to reinforce the coaching staff.

VAMOS ARGENTINA, VAMOS A GANAR EL MUNDIAL!!!!

The matter will be if Chacarita and Gamboa can reach an agreement about that.
